Looks like mostly contained by air tankers.

I would suggest that along with or in place of a custom turret also using a ballistic app. The flexibility and tunability of say the Strelok Pro is incredible. The app lets you adjust for a change in ammo or set up different rifles. Also while hunting you can make up a dial up card to exactly match you current conditions. I usually make a dial up card the day before my hunt that way all you need to do when time is critical is range, reference and dial. I just used the app to true up my dial up values, it turns out my Leupold Vx-3i LRP 8.5-25X50 scope has a value of .244 MOA per elevation click.

I back pack hunted for a number of years. First time with a full sized MOD 70 30-06. Then with a BP muzzle loader with a 32" inch 1' octagon barrel. The 7lb 11oz muzzle loader was much nicer to carry than he 30-06 at almost 9lbs. I had a R700 custom built in 270 with a skinny barrel and carbon fiber stock mounted with the smaller of the Swaro Z3 scopes. Shooting the lite 270 can be tricky as it can get out of hand so to speak and result in misses. My experience is rifle and scope less than 8lbs and more than 7lbs 4oz is a nice balance for me when it comes to easy carry and steady shooters. A Tikka T3x Lite with a scope around 12oz and talley lightweight rings will get you in that zone. I vote for the Swaro Z3 scopes for quality lightweight glass.

Thats a fair price. I would by it all if I had not just started reloading again.

Where my fellow Doge coin billionaires at?

Not saying what anyone should do, more consider carefully before risking your hard earned $$$$'s. The crypto craze is running pretty hot, got to ask are you getting in at the top? or hoping you are getting in mid bubble? Best not to put in money you will need next year, money you can not afford to loose or money that first might be better aside as an emergency fund. Other than that have fun & good luck. -

Bump for price drop

Cabela's has a used 243 carbine listed for $1000. I just sold a S & W MOD 28 and watched several auctions on gun broker for the prices it would sell for. Luckily I had a interested individual that was local, after watching the auctions we both felt the price I asked was about right.

There were a couple of years in mid 90's we would find a number dead heads in the course of a 4 day hunt. This picture is last year and first dead head found in years.

I check ammoseek.com a couple times a day for 6.5C. $60 bucks is not the lowest price but that is where a lot is priced. Last two or three weeks some vendors getting down to $50 a box or just under. Berger 140 ammo was available for a short time today in the $40ish range. But for now $60 is kinda where it is, just need to get my loading bench going again

I will go $45 a box of the 143 ELD-X for 4 boxes, that's $180 for 4 boxes.

When you have displaced the 308 why would they then duplicate it? I call BS.

Check ammoseek.com they showed some for sale this AM at $50 per 20 box. Of course sold out now, but keep checking ammoseek.

I was just in Brunos and bought my one box of LR match primers. There is a sign up sheet at the checkout counter for your Email, can not remember how I got on the list might have been from the sign up. When I walked out they had just put up a dozen more bricks of primers on the shelf.
