Manual??? Your wife is OLD SCHOOL !!! Whoever designed that front grill should be beaten, flayed and staked out in the sun. It looks like a sucker fish face.

Compressed air or pull nipple add some powder and reinstall nipple and fire off a cap.

I like the youth model REM 870 in 20G. Light, easy to handle for all and lower recoil. 1-1/4 of #2 or #4 really mess up intruder at across the room ranges.

I bought this rifle at the end of last year and have 84 rounds through it. Have only taken it to the range and have pictures of a couple of 100 yard groups and 200 yard groups. One of the 200 yard groups was two shots I shot on a steel that had a bunch of 22LR hits on it, sorry it's a little messy. Includes the Talley mounts also you can pick a Burris or Nikon scope to go with it, pictures included. $400

This rifle comes with your choice of a Nikon or Burris scope. This is what the BDC's look like zeroed at 100 yds with Hornady 143 ELD-X ammo.

I am in N Phoenix and you can get it without a scope, with the Burris scope pictured or with the Nikon scope pictured.

270 Winchester or 280 Remington, if you fell the need for a magnum then 7mm Rem or 300 Winchester.

Hornady is also a great company when it comes to innovation. Two of my favorites are the 270WIN 140SST Superfprmance ammo and the Precision Hunter line of ammo with long for caliber high BC bullets. I love the concept of loading the 270 with 145 gr, 280 150 gr, 280AI 162 gr and 06 178 gr bullets. Vortex also came up with an awesome new product, the Diamondback Tactical line is perfect priced for affordable NRL22 match shooting.

Dang 1:11 twist seems slower than I would expect. Federal Fusion ammo has been accurate for me in several calibers out of a number of rifles 243/270/6.5C. Factory ammo does shoot well giving you sub MOA in decent rifles. Bear in mind that because higher ES & STD (exterm spread & higher standard deviations) out to 500/600 your accuracy starts to fail because of the velocity deviations.

https://www.fs.fed.us/rm/pubs/rmrs_rp104.pdf Turns out solid copper bullets are the worst offenders when it comes to starting fires. Here is a link to research done on how bullets cause wild fires.

When we leave a camp you would be hard pressed to find any trash, its just the ethos I was raised with. On the flip side I always leave my fire pit intact, run an efficient fire so in the AM when we drown out the embers and coals its mostly just ash. Never could figure why scatter nice wood you worked hard to collect. But heck where we go when we come back a year latter nothing has been used or disturbed, nice not to have to rebuild fire pit every year.

Help me understand SAAMI Spec ranges

I would not expect a factory loaded round to engage the lands on a factory barrel. -
Times have changed, for my backpack hunting its been a REM mod 7 7-08 with a small 3-9 scope. More recently I have hunted with a REM 700 action in a carbon fiber stock with 24 inch skinny Lilja in 270 win and the smaller Swarovski 3-9 scope. The REM 700 is a light action and another thought is 280AI with a quality 22 inch barrel (not the skinniest or CF barrel) in a CF stock with a 1 inch scope up to 15 power.

I did two deployments to Misawa Japan flying Navy P3Cs, Misawa was hands down the best Air Base short of maybe a few in Western Europe. ** FLY NAVY land AF **

It's not nuthin, but then again its time to strategerize the best methods for opening up businesses. Distancing, masks and hand cleanliness the watch words. Also how to keep the older & vulnerable free from exposure.

22 LR build suggestions
AZAV8ER replied to bowhunter-tw's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Last two years I have been competing in small bore silhouette, NRL22 matches, 22 benchrest and assundry other 22 matches. I love my KIDD 10/22's but its a semi. I have two CZ 455's and one shoots a bit better than the other. When its all said and done the Tikka T1X is your best bet, consistently seen them to be very accurate and reasonably priced. -
