I was born in 56 and I have always heard the 5 C's. But maybe some counties did not much like citrus and being rural were not to impressed with climate. When you work a ranch or farm climate more often that not is a hinderance more than a help.

I have 12G 1oz and 7/8 oz 8 and 7 1/2 loads. They are hard loads from mid 90's, my old mans handholds and my brothers and I have been shooting them for decades to the detriment of many dove $3 a box of 25.

I just read the news. Sounds like a big bomb went off in downtown Nashville. My first thought was to wonder what flavor nut job-fringe group did it.

I lived in SLC for 30 years. Skiing is nice if you can afford it, great duck hunting and lots of elk hunting, also bit more options when it comes to fishing. I was very familiar with "the world class airpot" as well. All that said kinda looses some appeal when you figure the worst air quality in the country and gets pretty cold and unappealing in the winter, heck and Tucson has the best Coues hunting 25 minutes away. Just saying all in all SLC is really not so great unless you like hunting, fishing and skiing, but what coach has time for that?

UArizona, first hire someone like the person responsible for the Urban Meyer hire and then responsible enough to find Kyle Whittingham. U of U and Salt lake City???? How is that job any better than the Arizona job? Now it sounds like U of A president pushed the AD to hire Fisch.

I always liked Sportsman's better than Cabela's. I liked the reloading section of Sportsman's. But online will eat their lunch if they F it up and Brunos is just up the street. Guess buying more guns online and mailing to my FFL (Glockmiester does a great job in that area).

Thats going back in time.

Dang Brent those old Sierra boxes look almost like they have antique value.

Not near as nice as your Dad's buck but has same left side kicker, wonder if it was the same unit or if its common to S AZ Coues?

Its been 10 months since any real rain in our area of North Phoenix

My experience was not smooth. The password they sent me was not working so what I thought was lower case L (l) might actually been an upper case i (I) hard to tell. Also I tried # as a special character no work but * worked. Good luck all BTW I finally got it to work.

I guess its assumed it is a SA Rem 700 bottom metal?

Where you hunting where there might have been artillery ranges around Ft Huachuca?
-
I think you have energized a great hunting companion for years to come. Good going Dad.

That was great!!! What was it about that location. Was it a trail junction or is there water nearby or a pass? What made you choose that spot?

I researched around and found reports the Leupold rx-1000i had issues like that and sounding like it was not an isolated occurrence, but of course I had bought mine years before. Mine must be going on ten years old and still looks good. It gets used for the Coues hunt and a maybe a dozen more times a year. I don't know if I am lucky or if storing it with the battery removed helps. If mine dies I'll buy another if they offer me the 50% off.

I have several recovered bullets that look like that. They are Sierra GK bullets from 30-06 and 270. Since the Elk or Deer shot died soon after being hit and the bullet and copper jacket was under the skin on the off side I never considered it a failure. Did your son's deer drop soon after being hit? What was the range? The lead portion of the bullet looks nicely mushroomed like it should. Deer died, bullet did not fragment/shatter so not seeing a 'failure' here.

Be as competent in your area as possible, communicate and have plan for the day, for the week and idea of whats the pertinent goals and always calm. Know and cultivate others in different parts of the organization that can help you remove roadblocks or whatever problems pop up. My son is an apprentice pipe fitter and he calls me about once or twice a week during his AM break time. Praise is huge, he was so proud his supervisor gave him credit for spotting a problem that left uncorrected would have been big bad. Take care of your guys, my son and his team did something that was safe but not per rules. His supervisor deflected the plant operator from hammering them the way they wanted to, also was a teaching moment that if you don't follow all the nitty little rules you put yourself and your boss in a bind. Communication, my son gets frustrated if the plan for his day is not clear. Good luck and sounds like you have the perspective to be successful.

Way to hang in there and keep trying. I see many successful hunts ahead for you. -
My Dad bought this from a friend that let it get some minor pitting & staining from surface rust. The blemishes are at the surface, this impairs appearance but not function.

The bore is shinny and bright and the action is tight with a nice solid chunk when closed. Serial #S317843. I have used it for quail and duck hunting as it fits me well and comes up just right.
