I've actually only "really" turkey hunted once. It was a blast. Light rain, several times we snuck to within yards of elk. Had enough close calls with a couple toms. It was awesome.

Seriously, this is killing me. The dane was supposed to be gone in June, and I have wanted an Airedale since 2004.

I've always liked Kimber for wood stocked rifles. That's what I used in Africa. Miss that rifle.

I like a good solid fixed blade for field work, but love a Haralson for skinning and caping. Less than a week after moving into my dads, some jackals went through my truck and stole my 10+ year old Chsrlie May. Pussed me off. Ordered a new one and moved on though.

I couldn't do that to Charlie. Truth be told, i felt bad for not being there with Ojos at the end.

I wasnt in the room when my first old boy was put down. Had him since college. Then wife said she wasn't letting me chicken out the second time. Said as his daddy I needed to be there. I hated it, but appreciated the fact she made me be there.

Its pure torture. My then wife and i were puddles of goo. Charlie was a special dog. My then wife and step daughter came into his life when he was already several years old, and he immediately accepted them as family, and protected my step daughter as though they grew up together.
