my vote is for 270wsm or 270. i own both and neither kick hard ( the WSM does weigh in at about 10lbs though) and they are very effective guns. tell him to suck it up a lil!

Take your dog and shoot it
firstcoueswas80 replied to Diamondbackaz's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
i love dogs as well, i hate pit bulls but no dog deserves this. i hope this person rots in jail for this even if it was a pitbull! if it wasnt for my old rottweiler, i would either have no face or would not be here. to make a long story short, at 8 or 9 years old a pitbull charged me and my rott said that aint gonna fly, my rott took this pit out of mid flight and ripped his throat out 3 feet from my face! -

help me to hunt coues deer
firstcoueswas80 replied to mulie hunter's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
it is possible for coues to be spot and stalked with a bow. last year my dad and i glassed up the biggest buck eithe rone of us had seen ( about 95) my dad within 20 yards of the buck, but him and his doe moved from where they originally were and my dad didnt know this as we forgot the radios. if we had the radios in 99% sure he could have got an arrow in that bucks vital zone! -
alright amanda! good score!!! i really like his right side! it is neat way to go!

Ernesto, sorry but that 270 aint goin anywhere! it was my granddads then my dads now mine! the .40 is my hand gun. the 7mag is a virgin and the wsm only has a 3"spike under its belt. man this is tough! dad has a new 22-250 to the collection and that is what he will carry. -
Rhino nice buck! the way your buddy packed the buck out is the only way to do it! packed my dads buck out about 2 1/2 miles this year with out stopping man i love doing that!

bowhunt, if you dont want it i do! i will pick it up frm you if you love in tucson! -
i probably had one of the best years of hunting i have had this year.my dad and i hunted elk and deer together, neither one of us tagged an elk, i shot one but made a bad shot and didnt find her but we both tagged deer. this was the first deer he has killed in about 7 years. neither one of the deer were big by any means, but it was memorable because we got to spend a lot of time together and had a lot of fun. hopefully next year we can do the same!

Leupold VX-III help with a decision
firstcoueswas80 replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
i have seen those Kahles advertised, seems pretty neat but the price tag is pretty high. i like the boone and crockett from Leupold, i have the varmint reticle on my 270wsm and it is nice but in low light it would be tough.
