What type of shot should I expect? Archery
firstcoueswas80 replied to UggRedBilly's topic in Elk Hunting
I've only killed 2 bulls with my bow. 48 with a 16th follow up at 55 because he had no idea what happened. Then another bull at 56. -
It's a snake, near Flagstaff.

Shotgun Cameras

I have enough witnesses to my misses. Don't need to film them too. -
I'm looking forward to the dog getting back to work. That's the only reason I shoot doves or pigeons is to get the dogs some exercise and some work and some food! It's fun don't get me wrong but with the price of shells nowadays.....

I've seen poodles as upland bird hunters, as well as diabetic service dogs. Someone get one and turn it into a duck hunter!

I love BFG's, but not on heavy trucks. We had them on diesels back in the day and they are no bueno. Ill likely go to that on the 1994 Toyota Im about to buy from my cousin. I have Discover ATP's on mine. The first ones were GARBAGE. I had 5 that had tread separation. The ATP II's seem to be much better.

We all like to get prone, but sometimes that doesn't happen. With my hunt in 23 this year, I have been looking into alternate shooting positions. I ordered a Amazon version of The Claw/ Triclawps, but I am also looking into adding an arca mount from Outdoorsmans directly to my rifle stock, but I am always hesitant in drilling directly to my expensive McMillian (screwing things up, I'm not very handy). What else has everyone else used to shoot from? Advantages etc?

I was all set up to get electronic, Bluetooth buds through insurance, but after an audiogram, $150 for foam molds, and a Dr signed RX, for some reason it has been denied by insurance. I have killed a lot of stuff with peltor muffs, but they are big and bulky and sometime get in the way of the cheek wield. What does everyone use, besides a supressor?

Hearing protection for the shot?

So.... Who uses what for hearing protection? -
They were all on the Rez. Between Sunrise lake and Sunrise Resort.

See any coyotes? My son and I saw a handful when we were there. Notably more than we usually see. I wasn't quick enough with the AR to rectify that.

Hearing protection for the shot?
firstcoueswas80 replied to firstcoueswas80's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
The Axil buds are pretty sweet. They do noise cancel, noise amplification, and Bluetooth all at the same time. So, you can listen to music, have loud noises canceled out, and quiet sounds amplified all at the same time. Buds usually don't fit my ears all very well, but these come with tips that are just like soft foam ear plugs. Pretty sweet. -
You might be a day late and a dollar short. I think most of the guides get booked up almost instantly.

We have this trailer for the rzr and it's awesome. Super solid built, plenty of ground clearance, but I don't like using ramps. Tires are new last year, trailer must also have good tires, I have no desire to buy new ones. Looking for one with a drop down gate that will hold a 4 seater rzr. Can +/- cash for the right deal.

Welp, I'm gonna continue to use the gutless method, use a radio for safety, and use my electronic muffs for hearing protection.
