Whats the secret? My son finished his class last week and looking for a field day course for him. AZGFD only has courses listed through December. When do they list more courses? This doesn't seem like very many field days. Is there a way to get notifications of new courses listed, or just keep checking back and hoping to find one with open seats for him to attend?

Anyone have a hard time signing their tags? Regular ball point wouldn't work.

With you bringing this topic up, if you don't Pony up for the higher end action you are always going to think back or wish back that you did. Buy once cry once. Plus the resale on a higher end action is typically significantly higher than a factory Remington 700. I went with a Defiance for my 28 Nosler and love it.

Kings XKG line is really awesome.

I like hunting. But I also like being successful. I am always tahnkful for the opportunity to be in the woods, but seeing a Tom, Dick, or Harry under every tree is aggravating. And I know some will say "then you're too close to the road" and I am getting to the stage where this is more of a fallacy than a truth. People are getting deeper and deeper in the woods every year. Short of doing backpack style hunt (which I did for a couple days this year), it seems as though more and more hunters are making their way in the depths and off the roads. Just something we all have to deal with, as I personally am not willing to go 5 or 6 or 10 years without drawing a tag just to have a premium tag every so often.

I was told that they allow youth to hunt without the completion of the field day, as long as they have passed the course?

And I thought i was cool for shooting pigs with a 10mm. Sheesh that's awesome!
