  8. I say sell the rifle. Wait until you have the cash (not MO, cold, hard, CASH) in hand, and ship to the FFL (that you also have a copy in your hand). There's really not that much to it.

Yeah, theyre having a rough year, but I have to ask you.... Where were you/the Sundevils when U of A and UCLA were winning the majority of the NATIONAL championships?
  10. From my understanding, the BT's have been designed so they do not 'essplode' like they have been known for in years past (accept the smaller caliber/varmint design bullets). Having said that, I think the 140 Accubond is THE bullet for the . 270 win and or wsm.

    Republicans Challenge DHS Ammo Buys

Have any of you aluminum foil hat wearers bothered to do any math? Let me break down the quals for you for ONE government agency. Say theres 550 or so agents at one station. Each agent is required to shoot a 72 round pistol qual (39,600 bullets minimum, per quarter 158,400 per YEAR), a 59 round rifle qual (32450 minimum per quarter, 129,800 per YEAR) and a minimum 5 round shotgun (2750 minimum per quarter, 11,000 per YEAR) add all that up... 299,200 per year for ONE STATION. Say there are a dozen or more stations that have 500-600 uniformed officers qualing. The numbers add up quickly. That does not include training at the academy, speciality triaining, speclial units etc, that is STRICTLY the minimum required qualifications per year. I am not saying that the government is 100% to be trusted, but I am saying there is a need for the ammo that is being purchased.

Looking to buy a Diesel and would like your opinion

I wouldn't drive an older Ford if it was given to me. The old Powerstrokes are way under powered (the ones I have driven anyways), they ride rough, although they do 4x4 well. The new, 6.7L Scorpion engine is a BEAST! I wish I could afford to own one. I have a 2007 Dodge Cummins 5.9L with 105,500 miles on it. Best thing I ever did was buy the warranty when I bought the used truck. The truck runs great, but I have had some (major) work done including 2 tranny rebuilds, a new turbo installed, intermediate drive shaft replacement (3x) AC replacement. I do not abuse my truck, and I can count on one hand the times I have towed over 5,000 pounds with it. My dad has the same truck, half the miles and none of the problems. I bought mine used, he bought his brand new. Good trucks, but Chrysler needs a new transmission.

    Leftover tag, meat buck

Spent the last few days hunting with Phil and his daughter Jaycie looking for a couple bucks on left over tags. The weekend was spent with horrible weather, but we stuck it out and managed to find a few bucks that gave Phil and Jaycie the slip. On our last full day of hunting I was on the hill texting my wife and she was telling me that if we didn't find the big buck we have been looking for, atleast come home with some meat! Being a newly wed, I gladly listened. When Phil and I got to his Prowler, his hunting buddy Jim had a small 3x3 glassed up. I looked at him for a second through the spotting scope and decided I better listen to my wife and kill him. Phil and I got as close as we could, and after a couple of shots, the buck was down. Not much for horns, but he'll eat well and the wife is happy. Little buck meat tastes better then tag soup!

Custom build. What caliber would you go with?

Something .284 (7mm). One of the best bullet selections out there.
