    Scope mount

Might not make a difference, but I've always set the rings up facing the same direction.
  2. Actually, the draw results are early every year.

    Unit 1/3b fire

To bad, greens peak is a very important area to my family and I. Hopefully they get it under control asap.
  5. I definitely like the surrendered tag idea, and out gong to next in line.... but to charge a 'club'fee for that AND early results.... That's where out gets ridiculous for me.

  8. Absolutely horrible idea. The turning tags in and getting points back is a great idea, but having to pay to do that???? To quote espn "come on mannnnnnnnn"

I might as well ask too...

With my elk tag, I have committed to a well known (site sponsor) outfitter. Budget is TIGHT to get him paid off before the hunt, any side work I can come up with would be awesome. I'm not afraid to sweat, not afraid to work for a decent, cash wage. I'm not a handy man, but can do honey do's... Pulling/spraying weeds (I can use commercial grade weed spray), mowing/trimming lawns, shoveling horse/dog crap, moving rock, hauling stuff off etc etc. The problem would be availability as I help my wife with our son, and work nights but I am sure we could work something out. Please, just ask! Thanks in advance, Casey

    what gun?

the 270 wsm is a great round but there are a few limiting factors. Depending on the action, you probably will not be able to seat out the longer higher BC bullets without seating deep and causing compressed loads and taking up powder space. Having said that, the bullets made in .277 don't really compare, in BC to the 6.5 and 7mm bullets, although the 150 LRAB is a step in the right direction. 7mm is a fantastic round, and what I chose to go with recently when I decided I wanted a little more power then my .257 offers down range. Great line up of bullets, brass is everywhere, wide range of acceptable powders etc. The 30 caliber is a great all around caliber. Power, speed, down range effectiveness, and recoil can be impressive across the .30 caliber line up of cartridges. At the end of the day, I'd look more at the specific rifle more then the cartridge. If you find a rifle that fits you and you like it and its 270, 284, 308, etc that is more important then buying the caliber you like in a gun that doesn't fit or offer what you need.

    Unit 33, 2450 Coues tags!

While I would love to hear that, my past experience had been the game wardens have not supported the tag increase, but their bosses did.
