Lance, here is the photo. -
The extractor replacement is not necessary. Send the original off and have it fluted if that's what you want.

25-06 ???? Best all around bullet
firstcoueswas80 replied to lionhunter's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Lance, I feel like I am alone on an island here but I was NOT pleased with the 115 VLD in my 257 wby. Granted, I only killed one deer and one bobcat, but I was NOT impressed with the deer. I shot this buck at 572 yards. He reacted will to the hit, it was very obvious that he was instantly sick. He did not go more than 10-15 yards, but the issue was he lived for an honest 25+ minutes. The exact time escapes me as this was several years ago, but I think it was 32 minutes to be exact. My hunting buddy and I expected to walk up to a gut shot deer, but here is the bullet placement. Not a dot shot, but a pretty damnn good shot none the less. There was no exit (like designed), but also no blood anywhere besides in the deer. Ill have to post the picture later, photobucket is not wanting to work. -

100 ttsx and 110 accubonds are awesome in my 257 wby. -
While the 257 caliber does not offer the best in long range bullets, there are a wide variety of QUALITY HUNTING bullets to choose from. The 80, 100 and 115 TTSX/TSX are at the top, in my opinion. Followed closely by the 110 Accubond, the 120 Partition, the 100 Scirocco II (if you can get them to shoot), as well as the 90 GMX. I have used the 100 TTSX and 110 Accubond up to elk, and Kilimanjaro has used the 100 TTSX up 'o Nyala in Africa with excellent results. Then there are plenty of other, non premium bullets to choose from that have also killed a truck load of game.

And your team can't even get in the tournament. Nice try lark, a little over the top though.... you expect us to believe you know how to read a paper?

Which came first, chicken or egg? Same debate here. Buddy used a hypodermic in his bull this year. Died within eye sight. I used a slick trick, mine died just out of eye sight but within ear shot (thick cedars).

Easiest way would be a ladder test for powder charge only. Start at minimum ads with up to max in half grain increments. Where you have clusters of where you will find the accuracy.

I wish that they would reduce the amount of tags in the 36's.

I've been hitting the weights pretty hard. I've been trying to go 4 or 5 times a week, just depending on what the schedule with the wife and kids is. Been hitting legs hard, but not so much hitting the cardio. Only about 10 minutes a day. The problem has been my diet. I haven't really been wathing what Ive been eating at all and currently my weight is up around 305#. But, the good thing about it is my arms, legs and shoulders/traps are bigger/stouter then they have been in quite a while. Bad news? I haven't had to punch extra holes in my belt.

Nothing you can do in that situation. Wisconsin was throwing shots up off of one foot and they were going in. Can't beat a team that keeps hitting prayer shots.

Dang thats smokin! Whats your 180 load? Mine shoots a 168 TTSX with H4831sc @ 3005

When going over the game today at work with a coworker, he summed it up perfectly... They would have beat Kentucky yesterday. I 100% agree with that. The way they were shooting the ball, I am thankful U of A even had a chance. Having said that, I do agree that not fouling with that possession right about the 1 minute mark was stupid. Also not penetrating and going at guys in an attempt to get them into foul trouble I think was a mistake. But, I'm no expert nor coach.

Great gun. Absolutely love mine, African game animals hated it.
-
If you were that good, why didn't you go pro? Reminds me of uncle rico from Napoleon dynamite.

while I do love and often use the havalon, I prefer a solid, about 4" fixed blade. the past several years I have used a Charles May and I absolutely love it. It takes a razor sharp edge and keeps it and is plenty to hold on to. I prefer the fixed knife for gutting and field work but skinning and caping I prefer the Havalon.

Cody, I'm sure you'll use a .50 BMG so all that you'll have left is horns so you better find a biggun.
