Historically, I've hunted pretty much the same few areas year after year. This year though, we're hoping to branch out and explore new areas. What I've always had a problem deciding is where to go tomorrow when todays area was a bust.

Ron, a 100-120 gr .257 scenar would be awesome! I realize the hybrid and scenar are target bullets. A couple days before I killed my buck, I watched a buddy hammer a buck with the exact same cartridge, bullet and velocity as I used. Worked perfectly.

257 Is still in the safe, wanted a little more range and oompff.

I have a ranger. It's a 2007, well used but runs and starts like a champ. It gets me where I need to go, but it's not super smooth. Every once in a while, ill drive a rhino at work. Much smoother, much more nimble. Obviously, smaller too.
