In my mind, so long as the right size ammo is used (2 3/4 or 3", which ever the chamber is cut for I would bet only 2 3/4) and lead, you should be fine but I am not certain.

7mm Rem Mag Memorial Build
firstcoueswas80 replied to lancetkenyon's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Kind of depressing from my end. This rifle, with the same load I use in my LRM (68gr H1000) is pushing the 180 Berger the same speed, 2998. And, I am at MAX pressure in my gun. -

Serious question, why would you want to refinish such a classic gun in such good shape?

Passed on big buck. Right move?
firstcoueswas80 replied to Ethicsovereverything's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
It is never wrong to pass on a deer because of a poor shot. End of story. No matter how big or small the deer is. -

It was all I could do to sell my pre 64 270 when my son was diagnosed with diabetes and it was all original and in much better condition than this one! And that was at $1,000! -
I've found a lot depends on what you have on the back.

Recommendation for a Scope on an AR Style
firstcoueswas80 replied to trphyhntr's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
You shouldn't need high mounts. That front sight shouldn't be a big deal. Especially if you go with the red. It won't be noticeable. -

I have both set ups. I have a m4 with a primary arms micro that is legit. I've taken it calling, but never called a coyote. My other ar is a 20" heavy barrel, topped with a Leupold 3.5-10x40. It all depends on the type of platform you're working with. -
