I've been looking at getting a new pack. Anybody used or using the Black Creek's Canadian backpack? If so, what's your thoughts on it? Thanks -Vern

Which 3D deer target have you found that is similar to the size of our Coues and will take the pounding of broadheads and field tips? I was looking at the Rinehart Woodlands Buck, but it's only 30" high. Seems awful small???? Thanks Vern

I have the Axcel Armortech on my Matthews....Great sight. All the fiber optics are completely protected and encased in the sight, all the way up to the end of the pin. Micro adjustment on both the whole sight and on each individual pin. No complaints here! -VH

Great deer.....quick guess 136 1/8. -
I had my first every antelope tag last year, a 19A archery tag. I also was concerned in proper judging. I bought Eastman's book and video and Grimmetts video. Both were good. Eastmann's book helped alot, the video was so so, but helpful. I really liked Grimmett's video, but they stayed really high in the scoring and videoing of bucks. I would of really liked to see alot more buck around the 75-80, versus 85+ all the time. Just to give you a comparison. During that hunt they are really moving. Other than that it was a great video. Definitely, great footage and gave you a good idea. I definitely hunted a 80+ buck for the first 6 days, just could ever get closer than 112 yards. Closed the deal on a 72" buck at 67 yards. I'll take it with a bow!

In October of 2009, after watching this Coati for several days, I had the opportunity to add him to my collection. I've always wanted one and things just worked out. I asked Clay from Mogollon Taxidermy to put him in a particular pose on a branch that I found while out deer hunting. I could not be more happier on how he turned out. The workmanship and art put into recreating him are absolutely breath taking. The coati is now my wife's favorite animal in the house! Mogollon Taxidermy also did a lifesized javalina that I shot during the January archery hunt. Again, it turned out great! The two together really added to my room. Lastly, Clay finished my wife's biggest deer to date. She had put a pretty good hole in his neck and we didn't know if it could be fixed. She really wanted this hide as it had a very cool tear in his ear. After getting it back from the tannery, Clay gave me a call and said he could fix it, but that it would never be right. She was devastated. Clay then offered to put another hide on it and ever recreated the tear. She was estatic and it turned out great. Mogollon Taxidermy has done all of my other mounts and will continue to do so. I can't wait to see my antelope mount when done. Clay and his family are great people. Thanks again Clay for the outstanding work! Vern and Lori.
