Looking forward,to seeing a picture of this brute.

Trimming the limbs makes it fire wise, at least that's what the fire dept. up here tells us. Looks like a pretty good idea to me.

With it seems everyone going to side by sides you should be able to get a nice used 500cc quad for a pretty good price. Probably don't need 4 wheel drive but when you do, you do.

Had my cooler stolen sitting next to my camper while we were sleeping at lake pleasant. Wife and I laughed about it, all we had was diet coke and some hot dogs. I'm sure whoever took it thought they were scoring some beer and maybe steaks.

Back to the topic, I think it's a great idea. Always wanted to bike some roads listening for bugles but was never in good enough shape to do it. On another note, CWT is starting to look like AZ Bass Zone, it's good for a laugh but you sure don't want to go there to hear much about fishing.

The elk around my place haven't got the memo yet. Silence in these parts.

Last year I bought the Off Clipon, didn't want to spend the money on Thermecell. Don't do it, I actually think it attracts mosquitoes. I've heard good reports on Thermecell, that will definitely be my next purchase.

I've been taking my grandsons since they were 3 on scouting trips and turkey hunting. They love glassing, problem is they both want 15's. They are 6 and 7 now. Took them out prairie dog hunting with their BB guns, prairie dogs don't like being that close to you. Turned into a lizard hunt. Here we are glassing for bears. Start buying them camo clothes and take them with you to look for game, have fun!

Just got back from North Dakota where the relatives have a house on a lake, we had 4 kids under the age of 7. The rule was you don't go on the boat dock without a PFD, just makes sense. Having kids on rafts, boats, or anything in the lake without them is asking for trouble. Some people shouldn't breed.

Great write up! Going to Alaska next week on a self guided salmon/halibut trip. Can't beat the scenery, hope to see some bears myself!

22 single shot I gave to a friend 30 years ago for his 9 and 10 year old kids. My grandkids are approaching that age and wish I had it back.

Got my 2014 buck back, another great job by Clay Goldman. Here's a pic I took a week before the season and the finished mount.

Took the 300 rd along the rim this morning, checking a few berry patches. They seem to be hit and miss for quality, but when you find a good patch you can do pretty good. They look to be in all stages of ripeness, you just have to keep looking till you find some good ones.

I've used old pillow cases and sheets for years, never payed any attention to color.

I think you're definately on the right track! Those are a couple of nice ones for sure!

I hate hunting with horses. Way too much trouble for me. From taking care of them, water and feed ,to finding them when they get loose. IMO way more trouble then they're worth. Wouldn't be bad to have someone with horses to take you into a remote area then come back and get you. But horses in camp have always been a pain for me.

What do you do with them after you pick them up? Roast them, dry them or what? I've tried just eating them and remember they tasted nasty, like pine sap. I bought some in Winslow that I think we're roasted with salt and they were pretty good.

You have it set to .5 mile, you might need to go to .3 or less to see topo lines.
