Starting to see a lot of wallows, unfortunately most are in the road!
-
Works perfectly on my ipad. Check it out and look me up, right down to exact location for anyone that wants to stop by!

Checked a tank that is next to dry and found my first wallow of the year. A hundred yards from the wallow found a rub with a nice piece of velvet hanging. Things are getting started!

That's some funny stuff!

Just went out to the garage and fixed mine up this way!Out4blood, just set it up the way pine donkey described. Just figure the wind, which way you think the bulls will come from, an opening they can get a glimpse of it when they do start coming, and give it a half hour or so to work. Don't expect to hear a thing, most come in quiet. It's a bonus if you hear a bugle but don't count on it. If nothing happens move a quarter mile or so and set up again. You should be able to get 3 to 4 or more good set ups in a morning. This isn't something you do in a meadow, you have to be in some fairy dense areas with shooting lanes. Give it a try and let us know how it's working.

"Devil Diver" sounds like you had more pros than cons. I have been using one for 9 years now. It's light and fits in your pack, easily, if I am doing set ups with cow calls I always put it out and have had bulls and cows come in eyeing the decoy. If I'm after a bugling bull that's moving I never have enough time or I'm never in one place long enough to set it up. I have been carrying clothes pins and pin it to a bush most of the time, got a couple of small spring clamps that I will use this year. The last bull I shot with a bow was the 7th bull we brought into the decoy that day, we had a spike coming to the decoy when I heard a twig snap behind me and saw a bull looking over me and at the decoy. 18 yds through the heart.

Looking for resources to plan an Elk Hunt in Colorado next year.

Lots of CO guys on elknut.com. -
My first bull, rifle 5A, 1971. My daughter, Stacy, is now 41. Where does the time go! This was the third bull elk I had seen in my life, the other 2 were rag horns I saw while deer hunting a month earlier.

Two different guys posting pics then adding?? They're all nice, don't know what's being scored. -
Unbelievable! If you hadn't added all the pics I would have never realized how much went into that mount! Great job!
-
Right on! Post some pics and give us an update when you use it. Good luck on your hunt, keep in mind they are curious but not necessarily stupid! Have fun!
