Nope. I heard he was shot and someone up here has a pic of the Hunter and the bull, but I haven't seen it. Nor have I seen the bull.It's not close to unit1.

I'm sure you are going to get beat up on this post. But while we're at it you might want to tell everyone the difference between herd and heard, and shot and shoot.

I don't believe there were very many elk in unit 10 in the early 70's. Maybe someone with a better memory than mine will enlighten us. Seems like about that time it was big news elk were as far west as pumpkin center, which is just west of Kendrick Mtn.

You can worry about it all you want...it's not going to change the fact that this is the way it is ... For now. And when , and if they change it, we will need to go with the new license structure. Not worth thinking about.

You could have used your current license to put in for the spring hunts, then if you were drawn you would have to buy a license to use that tag. Next year put in for elk and deer with the license you just bought and buy a new one before those seasons start. This is the way I understand it, maybe someone else has a simpler explanation.

Kudos to all you walkers. I am sure you had to drive something to where you start walking, he's just trying to have a quieter ride. I put a stealth muffler on my Honda quad and it made a lot of difference. Can't stand a loud ride.

For some reason I always shy away from all the cooking and boiling parts of pickling. Guess if I'm going to try pickling I better get the tools and do it. Looks good!

Many years ago, saw a guy that had a loudspeaker mounted to the top of his truck. Much easier than having to roll the window down and blow through a tube!

After morning, take a nap. Wait for evening, if you start traipsing through their beds you will end up pushing them out of the country. I know some guys on here like to do that and some are successful , most are not. Drive around and look for sign, I think the best plan is take a nap.

Drive the road at night and get out and listen every mile or so. There are elk throughout 6a, therefor where they are you will hear them. If you don't hear them on fh3 take any of the main forest roads into the country and do the same.

Whichever one you use, get to practicing...don't want to hear any excuses. LOL

Getting drawn and calling bulls is 2 different things. I know some don't want to hear this but I call bulls every year, love it. Hunt me with a camera.
