The late November hunt was good for our camp. We filled four out of five tags with a bonus in the mix! Three of the four bucks taken, were captured on video also.

I have always been against mechanical heads until witnessing first hand the Rage on a 170" mule deer and a 370" bull elk which the meat processor said was the biggest body bull he had ever checked. Also in this bull was a Montec broadhead from probably the prior year stuck in his spine. The mule deer went only 100 yds before expiring with an awesome blood trail and the bull expired within site and also had a awesome blood trail both were shoot with the 3 blade. Just my 2 cents

Redneck, I was wondering were your buddy is located and if he would be interested in taking other dogs. I would like to give someone the dogs I kill I am just not set up to stretch and tan the hides. PM me if interested Thanks,

All the major manufacturers are making good bows these days. My suggestion is find a local pro shop and go shoot some bows. Which ever one feels the most comfortable to you and is comfortable to shot will be the best. Don't get hung up on the brand. Just my $.02 Good Luck

Congrats on an awesome buck and thank you for the awesome story and photos!!! -
Hey careful about posting pictures of my honey holes!!!

A jeep is better than both of them in my opinion!!! But I think Ranger is better than a Rhino in my opinion. Bigger payload 3 people can ride quieter (rhino is very loud to ride in transmission and motor noise) more stable

Whitetail rifle for my wife
trophymaster replied to liv4coues's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
My wife and sister are about the same size as your wife and both of them shoot Savage 110's in 270. They have killed everything from javelina to elk with them and the recoil does not bother them. I would highly recommend the 270 for an all around gun -
Oh I think he's a little better than Mr. Mass

Did that desert country whoop you or what?? Man you look haggered in that picture!!!! Congrats again
-
Looks like the Rage broadhead did the job. How far did he go and how was the bloodtrail??? Congrats again!!!!

good luck on your hunt and hope you get a biggun. I might run into you up there I have 2 buddies with the tag and you ran into one of them a few weeks back up glassin on one of those hills.

Here is a buck my buddy arrowed this weekend 174" green score
-
Well I would love to tell a story that we stalked this buck for 4 hours slipped in on him in his bed and arrowed him. But it was a matter of being in the right place at the right time and a lot of luck. We were on our way to our glassing spot when, I noticed these five bucks standing there. I dropped my buddy off and continued down the road, he was able to slip into forty yards picked this buck out and arrowed him with a perfect shot. The buck only went about 150yds before expiring. He was shooting the new 3 bladed rage broadheads and the damage was devasting. I have never seen an entrance and exit hole like it. I am not a fan of mechanicals, but these braodheads sure did a number on the buck.

Geoff, No luck yet went out last night seen same group of 6 bucks. Hopefully with time and a little luck I will be able to stick one of them if I keep after them.
