    3a/3c late rifle bull

I'm wondering how this hunt turned out for you? I drew it for this season and am ready to start familiarizing myself with this area. Any info you could give that you wished you had had would be great.
  2. I am new to Arizona (Mesa) and put in for and drew out for my first Coues hunt. Dec 1-10. Never hunted Coues before but have read everything that Google will bring up. I am new to my job and have my first newborn (son) so taking a lot of time off isn't possible yet but I have taken a couple of scouting weekends to different areas. (Sunset Loop, Jackson Cabin) I have sat and glassed forever and have been able to spot some deer. Not many. Only seen one small buck. I'm concerned how busy places get for this hunt and I'm wondering how many realistic back ups i should have and what areas I should focus. I'm not afraid to hike but need to be able to make it back to camp each night as my wife and child want to come with me (to camp). I'm not asking for anyone's honey hole, just trying to do what I can with what I have available to me. Any direction from you experts would be greatly appreciated. I know I am new but I look to contribute what I can and will post my results. Thanks! -Jax

    Unit 32 Questions

Just wanted to keep to my word and post about my experience to try and establish a credible presence here. Ended up going to High Creek as well as the Dragoon Mtns and Gamez Rd. Saw tons of deer (Many more than I was expecting) all Does and Fawns though. On the last day a little buck poked his head out of the thick brush while I was glassing and by the time I grabbed my rifle, poof, he was long gone. I put plenty of miles on my boots which I credit for seeing so many deer. Just frustrated that I had such a hard time putting horns on any. I truly appreciate those of you who tried to help me. Circumstances won't always prevent me from being able to do my own scouting work. Being new at everything can be a bit overwhelming. Even with limited success I'm still hooked and will continue with this pursuit. Thanks again!

    Unit 32 Questions

What pattern will the deer be in? Is it too early for the rut or will that be over?
