Live in Tucson, First Bow - PSE or Bull Basin?

Oh man, Bull Basin is awesome. They have done 2 strings for me, neither of which required any adjustment to my pins. Great guys, and excellent service. PSE is OK, but Bull Basin is worth every penny, even if it's a little more. If you get a screaming deal at PSE, take it over to Bull Basin for a tune. That would be my recommendation. -
This is the exact bow I shoot. Dang good bow, and a great deal.

I've had an amazing time over the last several months hunting with my four kids. From my oldest that graduated high school in May, to my youngest who just completed hunter safety 3 weeks ago. We didn't fill all of our tags, but each of us had success. With the passing of my Father two weeks ago, these times with my kids are that much more special. I also have made a few great friends on this site over the years, and appreciate all I have learned here. Hopefully I can give back some, even if it's just to help inspire someone to take a kid hunting.

I use these, which are economical and very cool. A fellow coues hunter in Southern Arizona runs this business. My favorites are the bow cam, and rifle sight reticle. http://www.thetrophyskullhanger.com/products.html

I've shared this recipe with several friends, and it always seems to be a big hit when I make it. 1- One 2015 December last day archery coues whitetail 2- Trim meat and add to crock pot (4-6 lbs) 3- Add one can onion soup 4- Sprinkle one package taco seasoning 5- Drizzle BBQ sauce and Italian dressing 6- Cook on low for 8-10 hours (until meat is tender and shreds easily) 7- Remove meat and shred/cut up 8- Cut canned whole green chilies 9- Strain drippings from crock pot 10- Combine meat, green chilies, and strained drippings in a large sauce pan 11- Simmer on low for 1-2 hours Meat is good on nachos, burritos, tacos, or whatever you like meat on/with. I add a small can of diced jalapeno peppers for extra spice. Seems like a long process, but actually takes very little time (aside from the meat preparation).

7MM Rem Mag, Powder & Die
John O replied to ctracingraptor's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Highly recommend IMR7828. When I go 3/4 between low and max, I have found good results on 139, 140, 154, and 162 gr bullets. Easy to find, and matches the 7mm RM very well for burn rate. -
Very nice Ernesto. Congratulations!!

139 gr SST. 7-08. 535 yards. Muzzle velocity 2900 f/s. Went through one shoulder, vitals, then stopped just short of the skin on the opposite side. Dropped in it's tracks. SST+ good shot placement= quick kills. Highly recommend, and the price is right too.

Get as high as you can as early as you can at lest 1/4 mile off of any road in any mountain range in the unit, and glass with good optics off of a steady tripod (often windy down there). My son shot one in there last week, so there are still some left Good luck, and have fun.

what to bring on mid January Coues Deer hunt
John O replied to fire652's topic in Other Hunting Gear
In your day pack- chap stick, TP, para cord, extra socks, head lamp, gps, knife, sharpener, range finder, lighters, sterno can (can do wonders for an unexpected extremely cold situation), extra batteries, cell phone, cell charger, game bag, several trash bags, basic lightweight first aid kit, 2-3 goo packs in case of emergency and food is used up. -
This has been my hunting pack for the last few years, but I've recently upgraded to something that fits me better. All zippers work perfect, no rips or tears. Great pack with lots of internal pockets, built-in rain fly, and has a large accordion type pocket that unzips to add space for an animal or extra gear. I've held onto this for a year, not wanting to let it go, but it's time. $80. FTF only in the Tucson or Marana area please.

Two Alpine Design sleeping bags for sale. The 45 degree bag has been used once, and the 30 degree bag has never been used. I am just a little too tall for these, otherwise I would keep them. Very compact and lightweight. $35 for both. Meet FTF in the NW Tucson/Marana area.

Stalker Alert!!!!!!!!! Just texted my Wife to lock the doors. Kidding Casey. It's all good. At least we know where to gather when the zombie apocalypse hits.

Awesome job Nikki. I agree, Cody needs to shave. That's disgusting His rifles are ugly too. Maybe we'll run into you guys over in 27 again. Later.

Brand new, never used. Just ended up being a little small for me. I would say this is best for someone 6'1" or shorter. Very compact and lightweight. Perfect for pack in hunts or when space is a premium. $20 in the Tucson/NW Tucson Area. FTF only please.
