Awesome. Thanks for the recommendation. I figure we probably stay in the heart of where were hunting but its always nice to have a good place to go if we get miserable

Lodge is closed during the start of the late hunt. You have any recommendations for a good place to get out of the cold during that week?

Any idea if these come together narrow for kids by chance?

Ive played around with different options. Had great results with QAD Exodus swept blade in AZ. Not legal in some other states, in those states I use the slick trick which is just an all around fantastic broadhead

It is in a column under group points which I think takes away the chance that he put in with somebody with much lower points and thus moved himself out of the bonus pass. I cant come up with a way he shouldnt have drawn. Personally, Id chalk it up to an error in the report or CC denied

Accuracy with factory ammo is fantastic - mine likes 143 Eldx and great round for hunting as well. Overall, action is cheap and not smooth at all. The detachable magazine is plastic and has jammed a couple of times when the kids are excited and trying to chamber a round in the heat of the moment. Gives the feel of being cheaply built but I dont mind the trigger, though, and it is easy to adjust. Love that it comes threaded for a muzzle brake. Screwed one on and the kids and anybody else who has shot it for that matter absolutely loves to shoot it. Its not a beauty but I dont know that you can find a more fun gun to shoot or better shooter for that price.

Brother in laws first bull (video link added)

That's a gorgeous bull. Congrats to your BIL, that's a heck of a first bull! -
Used QAD Exodus on my elk hunt 2 years ago (100 grain)- I loved them. Tough as nails with great penetration. I used the barbed style and highly recommend it. I hit my bull farther back and my immediate thought was that I would never find him. He only went about 200 yards and I attribute it to the fact that the barb kept that broadhead in him instead of "throwing" the arrow. There is lots of argument over whether it's better for the arrow to come out to allow more bleeding but I'm a big believer that if the broad head stays attached to the arrow in a big animal like an elk it does more damage as it moves and "churns" the broadhead within the body cavity. Worked great in my bull - just enough external bleeding to follow the trail alright but a ton of internal bleeding from that broadhead churning as he ran and bumped into trees.

Like title says, yesterday I had pending charges for a juniors deer tag, today those charges don't show. Anybody had this happen before?

Ha, I do use Bank of America - have they canceled them in the past for fraud? I'll give them a call to be safe

Not trying to be argumentative IA but what gets me about your argument was that it sounds like they were willing to let you re-schedule but you couldn't make it back until October. I think if you really wanted to make a re-schedule happen than you have to give up tae-kwon-do or soccer or something soon so that they know you mean business about trying to make it work. Sorry but if somebody told me they couldn't re-schedule for 3 months I would be thinking to myself that they don't really care about the trip

Very well done. Thanks for posting

Gorgeous picture! Did you take that yourself?

I'm needing to take some scouts out this weekend on a 4 mile round-trip hike where they camp overnight half way through. The issue is I need to be within cell-phone coverage for work responsibilities. Just curious if any of you have some recommendations of places we could hike/camp that are within 1.5 hours of Phoenix that fit the bill? Thanks
-
Great ideas. I'm very appreciative of the recommendations. We ended up doing Lost Dutchman trail and it worked out great but now I have some great ideas for future hikes as well. Thanks all. Was it after the death of the scouts that they closed that Bushnell Tanks Road?

Beautiful!! Good luck getting any sleep for the next 4.5 months now Creed

So if it wasn't a mistake are you implying that I can get the same result by putting those hints down in that order next year?
-
Yup; drawing a rifle bull your 5th choice never should have happened. I'm dying to hear the explanation you were given. . . I'm guessing it's because the motherboard literally melted trying to figure out why anybody would put early bull 3A/3C 4th choice after late 6A???

Mathematically impossible unless there was some computer "glitch". I hear these stories a lot and usually don't believe them. Would love to see a screen shot of your buddies receipt if he still had the email. Not saying impossible. . . Glitches happen. I have heard of one year when the computer "goofed" and I believe 7 people were called an given the opportunity to take a sheep tag that year or the next since they had actually drawn but were incorrectly told they hadnt

Are you in Phx area? I'll take them if still available

Rombo, is that the late archery hunt?

Well done in the video. I'm impressed you were able to keep your cool and re-set the camera to capture your second shot. Very cool
