Concentrate on the north facing ridges. Also find the nastiest country you can find, that is where the bulls go after the rut. If snow is in the forecast get into your area before it snows. Bulls will go out of there way to bed (north facing ridges) in the snow if the weather starts to warm up after a storm. GLASS GLASS GLASS I shot this bull in last years late rifle snow storm.

Nice bull, congratulations!

Very nice bull, congratulations!

Wasn't the biggest bull we saw, but was the only one that would sit still enough for a pic.

I was in 23 on Thursday and Friday and bugled and got a response. Saw some really nice bulls. I'll try to post a picture.

Great hunting report, thanks for writing it. Congrats to all involved.

Thanks! I think the key to our success was that we got into our hunting spot before the big storm hit. We just thought if we could make it through that day with our 3 season Walmart tent, we would do fine because we could hunt and not have to drive anymore.

Thanks! I was shooting a Fierce Firearms Edge in .300 Win Mag. 200g ELD-X with 80g of Retumbo seated SAAMI. I shot one time at 350 yards.

Shot my first elk on Nov. 30th. Couldn't be happier with him.
