    Max's Texas Hunt

We received a gracious invite from our buddy in Texas to bring Max out for a 4 day youth hunt on his lease. Needless to say Max put the 6.5 PRC and crossbow to work. Freezer is full and memories made to last a lifetime.

The mouflan rams were tough to find on this hunt and on the last evening we located 3 and he was the biggest. Definitely an awesome animal! Thank you!

    Graduation gift.....which elk unit

Appreciate your insight. I'm all about hard work and finding big ones in units most turn thier noses up to. Helped a guy from south Carolina last year on an archery bull hunt in a unit biologist said it was near impossible to scratch out a 350 bull and had my guy on one 350+ 3 times.

    Graduation gift.....which elk unit

Appreciate your opinion and both of those are on the top of my list. 22n and I have a love/ hate relationship. I helped 5 guys in a row kill bulls on both seasons and last year took an older gentleman for 3 days with high hopes and could barely turn up a handful of cows. I guess I was due a lesson in humility. 3b muzzleloader has always intrigued me but not sure I could do it justice because of how far it is from home. Thanks again, Mark

    The virus

Couesdeerhntr, Appreciate your post. I to am very healthy, no underlying health issues and have no concerns about getting the virus. I wear a mask because I care about my neighbor, I have empathy and I feel compassion for others. Life is a gift and we are taught to love our neighbors as ourselves. If there is a 1% chance that wearing a mask could protect a vulnerable individual than I am all in and I will teach my family the same principles because I am modest, yes I have free will but that comes with consequences good or bad, and if the worst thing that comes is I teach my son that the world doesn't revolve around him and being uncomfortable is sometimes necessary to show true love and empathy than I guess I can sleep well. Stay safe all, Mark

    Late Kaibab - Almost Time

Absolutely awesome 👍that raw emotion although tough in the moment is so important to cherish. It's a serious thing that our creator allows us to manage his creation here and it sounds like this young man loves the outdoors. Good job to you on raising him right and a big congrats to him on a great buck!

    36A Youth Deer

It went pretty well. I had 4 kids with me and my help fell through, so I had to keep all of them with me and take turns shooting. Got 3 shots at bucks and 3 at pigs. Saw 2 big ones that I will revisit late December but kids had an absolute blast.

    36A Youth Deer

We are down here right now and a little slow. Had to take this morning off for business, but will be back at it this afternoon. Saw 40 deer yesterday, 2 bucks in really tough spots and a mountain lion. I have 4 youth hunters with me, 3 girls and my son. Seems like they are in similar areas as last year. Hopefully with cooler weather coming in we'll have better luck.....glass till your eyes burn seems to be the name of the game down here. Good luck to your boy and shoot me a message if you need any help on a packout!

    Max's 2020 Kansas Deer Hunt

Howdy all, We just returned home from one of the most memorable hunts I have been a part of to date. Max filled both of his Kansas Deer tags and the week was full of laughs, tears, and many memorable conversations. These moments always help me to reset my compass on what is truly important in life and the opportunities we have to teach young hunters what is truly important and worth pursuing in this sport. These moments are short and gone in the blink of an eye. I hope all of us hunters on here can unitedly work to instill the ethics and values to every young person we can that will preserve this sport for generations to come. Get a young one involved in conservation activities. Hunting is about giving back more than we take. Get excited about trophy animals but never forget to instill excitement over any animal, watch there behavior, and let kids be kids. Shoot what is legal and don't put unnecessary stress on them. As they progress set goals based on their input. Use trail cameras as a tool to learn animal behavior not to claim hunting spots. You see other cameras help the kids to see that we all share equal privileges to the outdoors. If you see a camera that has been messed with have your kid try to fix it. Competition is ruining our sport. Teach our kids to compete within themselves to be the best hunter they can be. If we do so they will be continually successful under the most adverse conditions. Teach them to help other hunters. Take an evening off of their hunt to help with a packout...."there is more happiness in giving than receiving." Appreciate all the great content on this site and hope everyone is having a great season....on to the 36a junior hunt

    Sitting Water

Agree with you for sure. It's all up to interpretation and of course in this world passing gas can be considered by some as threatening 😂
  22. Markleo21377

    Sitting Water

Sir, this is the quote from the regs book in regards to hunting water. It can certainly apply to someone with or without tag "Ethics about “First-Come, First-Served” “First Come – First Serve” is a common courtesy that should be used when more than one person wants to hunt the same area or waterhole, regardless of who has a tree stand or blind in the area. Confron- tations in hunting situations can involve firearms and hot tempers. Whether you are in the city or next to a waterhole, any threats, intimidation, assault, or disorder- ly conduct can result in citations, arrests and/or jail time. Refrain from confron- tational behavior — ethical hunting is everyone’s business."

    Sitting Water

Sir, It is pretty simple. If you are sitting water and someone approaches you politely ask them to leave. If they refuse you let them know you are going to call the game warden and let them know they are in violation of ARS 17-316 and it is hunter harassment which is a misdemeanor. Game warden is probably to busy to respond but it is the best you can do and if the person has any ethics they will leave.

    Az 6a archery

The quiet areas are great places to start but remember to be flexible. Lot's of guys and gals have the same idea. Rocky Park Rd is a good place to access rattlesnake snake from the north and will typically have less guys especially if it's wet. Second week tends to have a little less pressure and can be great. Here's a few bulls we've had opportunities at in 6a last couple years. PM me as hunt draws closer if your struggling.
