Now that is a nice buck.

I love the 270 win. so that is the first gun I will recomend, but all of the rounds that were mentioned will do the trick. I also recomend the short mags, from the 25 wsm up, flat shooting and low recoil.

I know a guy up here in pinetop that killed one back in the 60's while varmint calling. He called it in somewhere up in unit 1 near reservation lake. He has a rug from it, it was the last legal one killed in Az.

My wife and I went to Kaibab this year for a week, and it was awsom. We go every year, and this year was by far the best. Although neither of us killed. We just had a lot of fun. I passed up several bucks because of my good coues tag, and my wife missed a few times. I did see a lot of bucks, and tons of twins. The antlers were looking very good. I seen several bucks that would go around 180 inches, and one that was around 200 inches typical.

I am going to kaibab with my wife, so I will just be hunting turkeys here in 3b, and 1. It would have to be an absolute toad for me to shoot, because of the awsom whitetail tag that I drew.

Hey younghunter I would not try the failsafes for coues, just because they are a delayed controlled expantion bullet, and will propably not open up on a coues deer. I have seen them pin hole elk before. Im not saying that they are a bad bullet, I just wouldnt shoot them on coues. All of the other bullets that were mentioned should do the job. I shoot the interbonds out of my 300 wsm and love them, and I shoot corelokts out of one of my 7mm's and my 270 and love them too.

We were getting right around 3000 fps with the 120 gr. hornadys.

I dont own a 260, but it is a nice round. It is a .308 necked down to a .260 caliber, like the 243 is. I have shot my friends many times and love it. It is a good deer cartridge. We have it loaded with 120 gr. hornadys.

I got my tag today.
