I use the True glow extreme. It is the brightest sight I have ever seen.

You have a great tag, and you will have a blast. It just depends on the day. Some days they are screaming a bunch, and other days they wont. But I doubt you will have trouble finding bulls. Last year in 3B they were screaming good on the first of the archery hunt.

New Rigs??? Archery season is coming!
300 wsm replied to Coues 'n' Sheep's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
I just bought a Mission Eliminator. It is made by Mathews, but only costs 479. It shoots 306 fps with my arrows that weigh around 380gr. I have the trueglow exteme sights on it. My rest is a quick tune smart rest fall away. I shoot a gator jaw release, and gold tip xt hunters 55/75 with 4 inch feathers. My broad heads are steel force phat heads. It is the smoothest, quietest rig I have ever owned. -

Perez Hilton needs his gay little head kicked in for what he said about her! -
I also recomend fixed blade broad heads. I have a 3B archery bull hunt this year, and I am gonna shoot steel force phat heads. They are a cut on contact, and are really tough. The rages would probably do fine, but I just dont trust a mechanical broad head on elk. I shoot feathers which stabalize my arrows better than vanes.

I love the Goltips.

Listen for screams and go get them. They are a blast to hunt. Dont over call. I only use a bugle to locate bulls. Dont only go after herd bulls for some of your biggest bulls are satelite bulls.

When I shot Blazer's I had a slight twist on them. I switched to feathers and get way better broadhead flight with them. I have shot 10 different broadheads now and they all fly just like my feild points. My feathers are 4 inch with a slight twist.

I am shooting the steel force fat heads for my elk this year. They are cut on contact and have some really thick blades. I also like the montecs by G5. I shoot feathers, so I can shoot a lot of different broadheads just like my field tips.

Woo Hoo.....3B archery bull for me!!!

I have shot the Goldtip xt hunters for a long time now. They are really tough. They are also the most consistantly weighted arrow I have ever found. We weighed 9 different arrows at our local archery shop, and the Goltip xt hunter 55/75 were the top of the list. The worst were the Beeman ICS.

I just bought a new Mission Eliminator. I am very impressed. It is fast, quiet, and very smooth. I am shooting Goldtip 55/75 arrows with a 100 gr. head. The total weight of my arrow is 380 gr. I shot it 3 times through a chronograph and it was 306 every shot. Not that I care about speed that much, but I was just impressed by that. It is 30.25 inches axel to axel. For those of you who dont know... Mission is made by Mathews. This bow was also under 500 bucks.

You are right coues sniper. There are some good ones and bad ones. But in my opinion there are way more bad ones. Most of them dont appreciate what they have. You guys can call me a racist if you want. But I live around them and deal with them all the time. They are the most racist and hateful people I have ever been around. You would have to live around them to realize. Just being honest not racist.

No they shouldnt!

Great buy on that. I have seen it and it is in great condition.
-
No they wont even consider selling them. They are not very friendly to non tribal members.

Another plus for the 22-250. Its plenty for deer. I normally use my 300 wsm cause its flatter out at extended ranges. But th 22-250 is an awesome caliber for deer.
-
+3. I love mine too. Mine is a 40 cal.
-
Maybe he should just start shooting them. Dead people cant sue.
-
I just dont believe the one pin to 40 yds thing. I would love to see it and be proved wrong.

I am getting a Mission. I have shot hoyt for ever, but I am wanting a newer shorter bow. The Mission is made by mathews but half the price. They have the same limbs, and cam as the Mathews. Very smooth bow. I also like the new PSE bows, but that is not true that you can shoot 1 pin out to 40 yds accurately with the new x-force. At leaste not with any normal weight arrow and 100 grain head at 70 lbs. But they are dang nice bows.

I have had cats come in in as little as one minute all the way out to 45 minutes. I always give it at least 45 minutes for cats. Brian is right about cats not bothered by human smell. The bird sounds are good for cats, but so are the jack, and cottontail squals. I have called them in electronically which is nice cause you are more still, and dont get winded. I have also called a bunch of them in with mouth calls. For coyotes I will set up watching down wind as much as I can. They will almost always circle down wind, and thats when you can catch them. In the summer I give coyotes 10 minutes, and in the cooler months I give them about 15 minutes. especially if there is snow on the ground.

Looks like you guys had a fun hunt.
