Have any of you used those cheap wild game innovations cameras? Our Walmart up here has them for only 50 bucks. Just curious if they are worth it. The good thing about them is if they get stolen you are only out 50 bucks.

This was a tough hunt this year. But its not cause it was so early. They still arent going good.

I shoot Rage 2 blades now. I have killed a Muley, and a Bull this year with them, and they performed great. The entrance hole was just as big, or bigger than the exit hole on both. Massive blood trails too. I am hooked on them now.

3B is kicking in now. Been seeing some great bulls this week, and now they are screaming.

Has anyone heard any Elk bugle yet? Talked to some guys that herd a few a couple weeks ago, but nothing here in 3B yet for me. Maybe the moon has them screaming at night. Or maybe its to hot.

Great job Clay. I have a trail cam pic of him from last year on the same tank. He has put on some size. Good Job!

I always cook with the dutch oven. I will do a whole chicken or roast. Just throw it in with some potatoes, carrots, and an onion and seasoning, and some water. Build a fire with a hard wood like oak. Let it burn down to coals, then bury the dutch oven with the coals around it. When you get back from hunting that night it will be done. Make sure you have enough coals to put all around the dutch oven.

I love my Doctor 15x60's -
I also think the 25-06 will do just fine. I have seen several cows killed with 25-06, 243, and 7mm08.

We both drew 27/28 Whitetail October. She drew 3B Muzzleloader Cow, and I drew 3B archery Bull.

It boils down to preference . I like a 4" feather. I shoot feathers cause they stabalize an arrow better than anything. I have literally shot about a dozen different broadheads from 2 blade to 4 blade, and they all fly like my field points. Of coarse your bow still has to be tuned good too. But the down fall to feathers is rain, and they are way more fragile. You can put water proof stuff on them, I use scotch guard. But you dont have to do that with vanes. They also are way less durable. If you even look at them wrong they can get tore up. But I love the way they make my arrows fly.

You can bait for any animal except for bear, and water fowl.

It will be Friday the 17th around noon
-
Wow those are a cool broadhead.
-
I love the Slicktricks, and Phatheads both. I shoot both, and they both fly good for me. Just like my field points. I like the Phathead a little better cause it is a cut on contact, and super super tough.
-
Last year they came out on the 18th. So my guess is mid day the 17th
-
Hopefully it will burn up some of the illegals too!!!
-
12A west early, and 27/28 whitetail second choice

Has anyone used the new F-15 fixed broadheads from carbon express? They look like they would put a nast hole in something. I was curious how they fly
-
Also try pistol petes. They are the best thing I have ever used to troll for trout with. They come in all different colors. They look like a fly with a little prop on the front of them. I use about an 1/8 ounce split shot up about 18 inches.

I dont even shoot with one. It doesnt make me shoot any better, so I took it off.

Is it raining where you live?

Had good hard rain today in Pinetop, and it has sprinkled a few times earlier in the week. -
I started shooting a fallaway when I went to feathers. I did have a wisker biscuit. I shoot the quick tune smart rest and love it. You can even adjust the speed that it falls.

I like all kinds. Predator is probably my favorite. But when I am rifle hunting, I am kinda partial to tha Carhats like coues and sheep. But archery hunting I camo out more. I also like that cheap leafy wear that the Walmart up here in Showlow sells. Its only fifty bucks for the whole suit, and you can wear it over anything, such as shorts or blue jeans.
