The silver creek varmint callers are putting on their 8th annual varmint calling contest. Its Saturday December 1st. Sign in is at gray fox guns in Snowflake @ 22 E. 2nd south at 4:30 am. Entry fee is $100 per team. 2 person teams. Rules will be given that morning. Big dog and little dog are 10 bucks each. 1st place wins 60% of entry money, 2nd place gets 30%, and 3rd place gets 10%. How old is the gun?

Rage 2 blade for me. I have shot 2 elk, and a muley with them. They fly like my field points, and are brutal when they hit! I have never seen holes like the ones rage produce. Especially the entrance hole.

I like mine. I have used them for years. Very clear, and great light gathering. I have heard bad things about the warranty though.

Hey everyone...I just wanted to give a big shout out to the Maricopa County Sheriffs dept for finding my stolen quad. It was stolen from my house here in Lakeside, and they recovered it in East Mesa. Its beat up pretty bad, and spray painted. But with some love, and hard work I think I can get it back into shape. Thank you M.C.S.D. for your hard work!

Does anyone have any experience with ER Shaw barrels? I dont know much about them, and would like some feed back if anyone has any.

I shoot Rage two blade. They produce a devastating wound channel, and they fly great. I have killed two elk, and a muley with them. Just make sure your blades dont deploy in the quiver.

I forgot to mention that we were driving the quads, not the kids. We were heading back to camp after hunting all morning.

Guys I just wanted to remind everyone to make sure they have helmets on there kids if they are on a quad. My friend and I got tickets in unit 33 by Game and Fish for it. They said there is zero tolerance for it, and its an automatic ticket. Well I just recently went to court for it, cause I could not just pay the fine for it. Its considered criminal not civil. So you have to appear. So we had to drive all the way to Tuscon from Pinetop. I had bought my kid a helmet, and showed the judge my ohv pamphlet that I read, and she dismissed it. My friend's courtroom had a Prosecuter in it, and she had it out for him. She said they were looking at possible prosecution. The Judge ruled against prosecution, but he ended up having to pay a 600 dollar fine or take a parenting class, and traffic school. So make sure those kids are wearing helmets.

Does porting your barrel take away velocity such as cutting it does?

I have killed two with a varmint call. The first was with a fawn distress, and the second was with a jack rabbit distress. I think most any distress sound will work.

It depends on your angle. If I am 20ft high shooting 20 yds i aim at the heart so i can hit the lungs. I also try to play the wind right and also use scent eliminators regularly. I also chew gum. Something natural smelling like spearmint. Mints grow naturally. I think its better than human breath.
