First off, thank you for such a great website. I am grateful for another helpfull hunter who recommended it to me.
My friend and I were drawn for elk in 6b next month. We have made several trips to the north side of Casner Mountain area and decided on one area where we saw signs of a lot of activity.
We are looking for tips on how to hunt cow elk. We are used to glassing for Coues but the trees make this dang near impossible for elk. Do we walk and then spot and stalk? Sit and wait by a trail we know to be used?
All suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
