Does anyone know when the loyalty points are supposed to hit? This was year 5 for both elk and antelope for me and neither have the loyalty point. Currently showing 6 (5 + hunter ed). I should have 7 heading into the next draw... correct?

I believe you and agree that good guides will be fine and continue to be successful with the cams gone. In fact, it will probably help the full time guides more than the guys who guide in addition to their normal 9 to 5. With all of that being said.... you have to admit that there are guides - in certain units - that have gone a little bit camera crazy. Personally, I'm more in favor of addressing only those handful of units. Trail cams don't create conflict in many units across the state and I think we are solving a problem that exists in a few units and severely overreaching by blanketing it across the state.
-
Also... if the justification for rule making is that trail cameras and related conflicts are a threat to public safety, you'd have to ban all cameras for any reason. Wouldn't you?
-
I'll get it when I become eligible.

I mean this with all due respect... better odds for me! Woohoo! 😎

If your portal isn't showing up correctly... you're screwed! I like my odds! Lol

Azgfd Official Letter to the Governor's GRRC Concerning Trail Cameras

Just curious... how do you know that there are more cameras run by individuals vs outfitters in unit 9? -
I use Coinbase to make my purchases and have recently set up a BlockFi account that pays 6% interest if you are holding... up to 2.5 bitcoin. any more than 2.5 and they pay 3%. That's a good one to check out.

Surprised to hear all of the bad experiences with Polaris on here. In my hunting party, there are 4 Sportsman X2s (all are approaching 15 years old and running great), a 2010 Ranger 400 (my mom won with a $20 raffle ticket) and it is indestructible, a 2015 (I think) Razr, and a General that is a year old and jury is still out... no problems yet. Apparently we have been pretty lucky! Lol. I'd recommend Polaris. Most of them were bought at the Four Seasons Motorsports in Rye and they smoked the pricing of other dealers. Maybe check them out.

Sweet buck.

Gotta say... a little surprised by the early results.
-
Do you run cameras @SirRoyal?
-
In reality, I know you're right. If a G&F Biologist has a tag in the unit they are using cameras for research, find a big bull, buck, etc. and then hunt them... wouldn't that be using trail cams to aid in the take of game?
-
If the ban passes, then G&F better not be running any trail cams either. For research reasons or whatever else. My 2 cents.

How do you “close” a mountain? - Unit 33

That's good news. Better not hike a trail! lol -
How do you “close” a mountain? - Unit 33

I have some cameras in a few different areas I'd like to try and recover, but not willing to risk this either. Bummer. -
PROHIBITIONS: 1. Being on the road or trail. 36 C.F.R $ 261.5a(e); 36 C.F.R $ 261.55(a). The only prohibition is being on the road or trail, so you should be able to hike into the burn area or drive any of the roads NOT listed as closed without any problem... Am I understanding this correctly?

I didn't pay close enough attention around other fires, but is this normal procedure? I could have sworn that after the wallow fire, by the fall hunts, it was all open... Any insight?

Found a good one and got some footage

I think he is 95"ish. Shooter for me if I had a tag. -
Wow! Stud!

Thanks for sharing!

That's a great buck! Congrats! Crazy that he gave you a second shot!

The point I was making was more that for the stakes of a Raffle or Auction tag, it's gotta be extremely stressful. The bar/precedent has been set so high that if you are guiding that tag, the bull better be well over 400". Just crazy. It's not like guiding elk hunts under normal circumstances where 360"-375"+ would be a heck of a bull for most clients. I know people who guide and they enjoy it. Just for me, I like hunting with my family and close friends... it's more about that than maximizing my time in the field or trying to earn a living at it.

I counted dang near 25 people on screen at one time. Wild scene. Making a living that way has got to really take the enjoyment out of it. One heck of a shot though. First shot was perfect at 960. I was impressed.
