Actually I just an alert that the Ibex model is on there now as well. Very tempting. -
I feel like I'm always looking for new boots and these just appeared on Sierra. They're not what I'm looking for, but figured I would pass them along since they look like a decent late season boot. Zamberlan Vioz High Gore-Tex® RR Hunting Boots - Waterproof, Insulated I bet you can get another 25% off if you sign up for their emails. http://www.sierratradingpost.com/zamberlan-vioz-high-gore-tex-rr-hunting-boots-waterproof-insulated-for-men~p~130dg/?myupdatesid=45D5D74464C1449591595B04C739B951&cm_lm=Bjhallinan%40hotmail.com&utm_source=EMY&utm_medium=email&utm_content=baseno&utm_campaign=EMY16&codes-processed=true

Making memories...that's what it's all about! ....and these will last longer than your lifetime. -
I'm a big fan of Euro mounts....great looking mounts!

That's a great idea...getting hungry just thinking about it. I'll be giving this a try in the future.

Great buck and one heck of a shot for a young hunter. It might take a few years to top that one!

How was the Sept. rut hunt this year in Unit 1? I hunted SW Colorado mid Sept and it was very quiet (ate tag soup). Curious what others ran into in AZ, maybe a late rut year. I drew the late archery tag in early Nov. for Unit 1. I won't be able to scout, so trying to learn about the area ahead of time. How is the moisture in Unit 1 (looks pretty dry)? Is it worth hunting tanks? Are the burn areas from the Wallow fire in 2011 huntable for archery or has it grown up thick already? Maybe I'll get lucky and find a cow coming into second estrus (one can only dream). I'll be hunting solo and camping (others are welcome to join if interested). Some guys have said it's a tough, tough hunt, where others said I should get into bulls if I find glassing points. It should be post rut, which will be challenging. Any thoughts on hunting high vs on the rolling hills of the mesa? Just trying to narrow things down. PM me if willing to share any info. Hope you're having a great season!

Bummer...hope he finds it. More than once I've dropped a pack on a stalk and it took me awhile to find it again. Hopefully his turns up.

Congrats....nice mass on him!

I've always favored Cabela;s over BassPro. Their selection is better, customer service is better and overall higher quality experience all around. Actually the Cabelas credit card it awesome. I've gotten a lot of free gear over the years from it. There's better prices on other web sites, but hard to beat Cabelas return policy. Oh well. ....little nostalgia as well, because as a kid you couldn't wait to get their latest catalog.

Good advice. I'll only add....if you get an upright, put one of those child locks on it (little plastic buckle type thing). It's not to keep anyone out, but simply to ensure the door is always closed. I've had people in the family close the door as they walk away and the speed of the door swinging caused it to hit and bounce out, leaving it open an inch. It's happened twice in with two different upright freezers (then the family finger pointing begins on who did it). Once I put the child lock on it, it never happened again. If it's buckled, the door is closed. This is what I used: https://www.amazon.com/WONDERKID-Quality-Adjustable-Child-Safety/dp/B0155IEUUM/ref=sr_1_20_s_it?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1476745544&sr=1-20&keywords=child%2Bsafety%2Blocks&th=1 Frost free vs manual - both are fine. I would probably opt for frost free just because then I don't need to defrost it. Plus they're cheaper. After a year that frost starts to build up and you lose freezer space. One thing to note, when a freezer is frost free it means it's taking all the moisture out of the air (hence no frost buildup inside). So if meat is exposed or you don't have good packaging.... your vacuum seal didn't hold, etc...the meat will get freezer burn more quickly. Not a big issue, but noticeable if anything isn't well sealed.
