This is my wife's first mule deer, she is new to hunting. She shot this deer the day after opening day at 500 yrds with a 6.5 creedmoor 143 gr eldx. Shot was a little far back but we found him a short while later in the bottom of the cut he ran into.

And not even a shout out to his boys who left work early to head north to help pack meat. That's ok, we were glad to help you haul that brute off the mountain. Congrats on you bull!
