The fun part comes the day you sell it This part? Seriously boats and fishing are a freaking blast. Long shooter and I fished alot not together but against each other most of the time. that was fun, when we did fish together it was beyond fun it was down right stupid fun. he, I, Jamal, Jamie and a few others guys always had a good time tournies prefishing etc etc. its not fun when you take it to seriously .. the patch pirates and wannabe self proclaimed pros are a hoot to watch during a tourny and during the week when there prefishing hours and hours of entertainment right there. I fished about 4-6 times a week up until 8 years ago. 3-4 of those times were prefishing tournies with my kids. 2 of my kids our oldest daughter and our son with down syndrom have more time on the water than most of the adults who fish tounries and my kids also fished tournies with me. our oldest daughter was put the boat on the trailer when she was 10. I picked her and our son up everyday after school in the spring and fall in a bass boat and we headed straight to the lake till 10pm. almost every wednesday and friday nighter tourny she fished till she was about 16. kids board over the summer they would call me up and say hey dad lets go fishing. I was out the door no matter what was going on.. Heck wife went into labor early one morning with our son we figure it was a false alarm so daughter and I took off to the lake to fish a tourny. made it to bell road got a call to turn around and come home. IN the 90's I had employees so I fished all the time with my kids went to work programmed did my work thing strolled home about 4am went to bed back to work then fishing again with the kids. boats can be a pain but if you take care of them and do the stupid little stuff (impellers and minor repairs) its not bad . the other pic was fun too. our oldest daughter did that to a few friends of ours.

if its been sitting for more than 3-6 months , or its a new to you boat ( unless you know the guy )change the impeller before you even fire it up. if its a new to you boat and you have no clue about motors take it to brent at perfomance Marine (if its a merc) they are hands down the best merc guys in this state. they only sell quality parts and do quality work. Ive known that shop for over 25 years. if its an omc or yami even a merc call ken Howden( his number is all over the fishing websites.) kens a dang good mechanic as well lots of my buddies use him. The boat it self is just a boat your main concern should be the motor as if one goes back your going to be 10k-20k for a new one or decnt used one. a little preventive maintenance goes a long way. I didn't like the key less ignition but thats me, they membrane in this heat gets to them, o if you park it outside uncover DONT buy a cover. direct sunlight for a long period of time is another killer on the boat. when you take the boat to the lake inspect your bunks on your trailer every single time to see if there loose carpets torn or have rocks or bolts sticking through the top. always keep and eye on your water pressure. no water pressure dont run it and get it fixed. its usually the impeller. I have changed thousands of impellers over the years and that is the primary problem with water. 2nd one on a mer is the popit valve. only seen maybe 2-5 cases were thermostat's are bad and thats usually on boats from the 80's so its rare so any friends or wannabe boat mechs that says its a thermostat is full of crap 90% of the time. efi motors have issue with fuel pump pressure at times so always changer your filter. keep your lower unit oil changed and line out of your prop seal, good idea 2 times a year to take off prop and check to see if line got under the seal. if it did hose the seal down with wd-40 and easlily take the line out while spinning prop by hand. chances are you wont need to replace the seal. dont baby the boat drive it like you stole it, never go over max recomended RPMS and NEVER idle for more than a few mins under a garden hows and absolutely NEVER rev the engine under a garden hose bad things will happen. in order to rev a motor up safely it MUST be under a load. oh yeah a series of beeps while your driving means oil problem one continues beep is over heat shut the boat off immediately on over heat let it cool down. also mark your oil tank with a sharpie or greese pencil (if you have one in the motor do that one also) and watch the level the times you are out fishing or running the boat. if it doesnt move in 1 or 2 trips take it to a mechanic (2 strokes need OIL to survive) what motor and hp you got on it? they sold that year with mercs yamis and omcs of coarse depending where the org guy bought it. From my experince the best colling system is YAMAHA then omc. merc leaves a little to desired minly due to the impellor needs to be changed a min of once a year. the more it sits the more you have to change them. yamis and omcs have a huge impellor and put out a huge amount of flow and psi. theres some many things that can be mentioned but need to know what motor and size. good luck have fun, you should have bought a Gambler as Hot Chicks dig Gamblers, the rest of them like rangers Delw

Yup thats how most people operate that I know or hang around with. heck we use it were done with it, then give it to some kid that isnt looking for a handout and uses the equipment they have. Most of my old fishing stuff went that way I'd be fishing see a few kids on the bank with there dads motor up to them and give them the stuff I dont want. when my buddy died I had most of his fishing stuff he wanted me sell to help with med bills. I dont like selling crap so just drove be the parks and gave it to kids fishing with the parents or grandparents. the fishing forums kids and there parents were always asking for hand outs. never gave them crap cause they felt entitled to it. we had people beg on forums all the time its pretty sad. we'd put free stuff on the forums alot and people would call and want you to sort it out for them and hold out the good stuff. one time I had probably 200+ bags of brand new baits and a ton of good used stuff put it on azbasszone for free. 2 jack-offs( and I knew both of them) came over and stayed in the shop sorting through it. I was like jack-offs take it all or nothing. they argued about it. told them fine leave. they took the box. I left the shop and a buddy of my drove by the shop 1 hour later. these idiots were in the parking lot sorting the stuff out. came in the next morning and they left things in the parking lot they didnt want. open bags etc etc pretty pathetic thats when I decided screw selling it just give the stuff away as its not worth the hassle. as far as the rest. you can tell who uses it as a neighborly sale as you call it and use it as another backpage/ craigslist ad. there very few that are neighborly -

So selling items and buying items is attributed to retaining and recruiting hunters? are you one Crack? other than that you missed my point. the internet has been like this as far as selling and buying since all gore invented the internet. the buying and selling part has NOTHING TO DO WITH HUNTERS HELPING HUNTERS. It was actually invented so colleges could share information and for porn. Maybe you missed my point, Coueswhitetail was not primarily an e-commerce site. It was a place to get with other like minded individuals. And when people sold things, they would throw some $ to Amanda to support the site. That is why her site is successful. Now if we only knew of someone with a failed e-commerce/Hunter message board to get his expert opinions....do we know anyone who fits that bill? Failed LMAO I sold it fool actually sold 3 of them. the porn site I kept cause thats the only thing internet should be for is PORN and FUN -
i believe the guys name is John Kuhns

I dont know how long you been around on forums including this one. but the internet sales has always been like this. This hunters helping hunters or fishermen helping fishermen is just feel good BS nothing more. its never been true and never will be when someone is buying or selling something. sellers almost always ask more than its worth and buyers always try to jew people down. forums are just a bad as Craigslist / back page if not worse. this pretty much started in the late to mid 90's and hasnt changed since. Back in the day of the classifieds on print. you would go look at something with cash in hand and either buy it for advertised or offer him less then be done with it wether he says no or not. due to the internet there is no face to face haggling so to speak. its all behind a key board on a celphone. firearms usually went for 75% to be honest they arent worth more that unless they have collectors value. or are REALLY NIB not LOOKS LIKE NEW IN BOX. firearm accessories usually went for 50-60% only a fool would buy a pair of binocs or spotting scope 2-3 or more years old for 80% of new price. but hunters just like fishermen think there shoot is worth gold but yet when it comes time to buy it they want to pay shoot prices... funny how that works you can see that on forsale ads on every forum. I look at it this way. if someone has something I want I buy it for what there asking, if I dont like the price I dont buy it and buy new or wait for something to come up. AND BTW no one is in real need of buying anything sporting related. they would like to buy it but they DONT NEED TO as far as selling something cause someone needs money they take what they can get. this excuess has been used to get peoples feelings thinking they are helping someone out in need only too many times to see that person selling it turnaround 1--3 weeks later buying something else.. -
Thats funny very good analogy

very close friend of mine / fishing partner had to have this and something else done in an emergency situation. he'd been putting off the surgery for 3 or 4 years then one day his back just snapped while at home walking into his garage. the docs gave him a 50 50 chance of needing a wheel chair the rest of his life. surgery was successful and doc told him xx amount of months. well being the dumbass's we are he conned me into taking him to the lake after 6 weeks for some fishing. that lasted 20 mins and he was back in the hospital the next morning but out that day. point is do what your doc says to do on that stuff. if he says 2 months you do it for 2 months not 1 month. never miss your appointment for physical therapy/ rehab(what ever they call it) either. after another 3 months I think it was he went to the doc and the doc gave him the ok. he's been good ever since that was 8-10 years ago. since then he fell off a ladder from the second story, been in 2 very serious car accidents and hasnt had back problems since the surgery. before the surgery he would hit a speed bump or wave too hard and he would be useless for 2-3 days. nothing is worth not walking again or being a paraplegic if you can prevent it. good luck on your surgery.

I was in the same category of thinking. then watched my daughter have a complete pass through double lung shot on a deer at 65-70 yards arrow went about another 15-20 yards and stuck in the ground. with todays bows and arrows I think 35lbs would be ok but not sure of 30lbs . In all honesty backin the 80's and a 55lb bow with alum arrows had less penetration than a 40lb bow with carbon arrow today. I watch alot of tournys and practices with kids shooting 25lbs 30lb bows 35 lbs bows and 40 lbs bows huge difference in the target impact and depth between 35 and 30lbs

Thats a simple answer. if I was terminal and had a desire to hunt. I would shoot one when ever I felt like it with anything I wanted to. At least you are honest. But getting arrested and charged with a crime is not the way all people want to go out. Why not? you would be dead in 3 years or less. I dont think they arrest anyone for killing a animal with out a tag. i believe they write you a ticket and fine you but jail time isnt something they do i don't believe, oh yeah and you could loose your hunting privileges for a while but i dont think most people with a terminal illness you really worry about hunting to much.. more hanging out with family then at night hookers and blow

I have a ATV they are ok but suck at the same time due to getting family in them. one good thing about them is they are small and dont damage roads like everything else does. un north this last sunday we couldnt get to one spot because the mud and I didnt want to tear up the roads in my diesel. but you either have to trailer them up or put them in the bck of the truck. then when its cold and rainy or even hot you have to tough it out. UTVs are nice but why pay that kinda money from something and still have to buy a trailer. daughter bought a jeep year and a half ago and its easy to tow or she can drive it. usually I tow it up on the freeway to chino then she drives from there. they are small and light for the roads as well not to mention has a/c heat top windshield wipers etc etc. and family can go up as well. not to mention you can get a nice one for 5-6k or even less 97 and up towing is really easy and takes 20 mins to bolt on towbar and go(unless you run it over like I did plus the fact if you break down or get stuck jeep pull you out or drive to town, atv or utv you aint pulling a big truck out. and there is more storage room in a jeep. I was going to buy a utv or get another ATV but the more I think about it a jeep would be better. you can triple tow with a 5th wheel you just cant be over xx feet. guys do it all the time with bass boats and jeeps
