How about NOT offering any TAGS. the majority of hunters DONT want tags offered in anyway shape or form. Auction tags and Raffle tags ONLY help 2 groups of people. the people holding the raffle/ auction and Guides. it doesnt help the general hunting public. This thread started because of this group wanting Auction Tags/ and to make Arizona like the Utah model then after the backlash and finding out the players involved it went to Raffle tags and still left the same players involved. Get rid of raffle auction/ tags dump the same players and people may do something. but that wont happen because the group wouldnt want to exist if it wasnt for welfare tags of some sort. The groups mentioned are using fear to make there cause sound justifiable. these groups and the people involved always have from day one.(back in the 2012 days and even before that.). It would be nice for once to see a group formed to help out in conservation and anti hunting issues with out getting tags of any sort. alot of these guys here have many good answers but you and your group/groups are still fixated on getting tags. oh and before you say it cant be done it has on the fisheries side. yup a few groups if fishermen are very active in conservation,and even politics from the antis. everything is done through donations ,membership and hard work from volunteers. key word volunteers not paid employees Delw

Some good points, but one needs to use the broad-brush approach carefully. For example, not one of the groups in AZ makes a "profit" off the gift tags and neither does the game dept. Second, even those tags have been removed from the general draw over the years, the money raised has probably added more tags to the general draw for certain species because of projects and transplants. That's a win-win. A while back, there was a thread on another site about bighorn auction tags in the West. Tony Mandile, who once posted here on a regular basis, put up some very pertinent info on the program here in AZ from articles he did years ago. Another member of that site posted the positive aspects of what has gone on in Montana. I don't want to repost them here without permission, and in deference to Amanda, I won't post the site URL. Does this mean I'm for the present tag grab? Not necessarily. And I won't decide one way or another until I see the proposal actually fleshed out in its entirety. If it looks anything like the abomination in Utah, though, it's a non-starter for me. Buzz - Thanks for the input, you took the words right out of my mouth. This proposal simply doesnt align with the North American Model. TS - I do not believe anywhere that these special commissioners tags are allowed that they are sold for a Profit per se, all of them do support wildlife and conservation to some extent. The fact remains, we could certainly raise far more money if every tag was sold to the highest bidder. But thats not how the model works, look to Africa or Europe if youd like to see how turns out. I do have an idea for raising funds, perhaps for education or for the proverbial war chest political fund. Will post that later on a separate fund. Agreed however the average sportsman are only against auction tags, if it was raffled tags alot would sell there mother to better there chances at a tag. pete and his merry men know this also. your going to see alot of fast talking bs as usual. I'm predicting its going to pass but they will use a raffle, then after a few years or sooner they will claim they aint making enough for education and switch to auction tags. Most guides wont be against this there going to push for it because it benifits them and they dont want to look at gift horses mouth if it pass's.

In may, hit the east side of the sedona exit off of i-17 go a few miles and take the road that parallels I-17 but a few miles off. its a decent road ends at stoneman lake road at the i-17 exit. makes a good shed hunting and yote trip at times

no 10's heavy barrel. stainless is a 1993 the other blued is a 1991. I found a blued one in a gun shop a few years back beat to crap, no blueing on it hardly at all they wanted 500. but I didnt want a blued one only ss. theres been a few blued 10" ones for sale around 500-600 here local but always sold with in an hour after add. saw a ss a bunch of years ago I called and on my way to get it, someone picked it up saying it was me LOL so they guy says anyhow. seen them on gun broker for around 500-650 for ss ones for the last 8-12 years. just want to buy local cause you dont know what your getting if you cant see it.

All I got to say is..... sweet!!! heck yeah sweet. I been looking for 15+ years since I traded mine for another varmit rifle.(biggest mistake I ever did) I would have paid 750+ for just the stainless one but the guy wanted to sell them only as a pair. the stainless one is MINT the blued one has one little blemish in the blueing on it. saw the add talked to the guy was home in 10 mins asked the wife got cash ran out door met the guy. once I paid him I was happy. me and the guy talked for an hour pretty cool guy. I couldnt get those gun in my possession fast enough.

So far that answer has been overwhelmingly (75%) leaning towards having regular citizens on the board as well. 11 have answered other and give different answers and why. Only three have suggested leaving it as is. Total of 54 responses right now. Hoping to get into the hundreds tomorrow. I'll try to clarify it a little better. with question number 4 being required to click on something in order to have your vote counted, I wont do the survey just because of that question. heres why. groups will over look the questions that are negitive to there case, but will use these answers to help there case. by manipulating it. sneaky pete and his band of merry men will come up with something like. " in recent polls we have found that xxx amount of hunters prefer to Add a few citizens without any affiliation to current wildlife organizations currently on the board. " or xxx amount of hunters prefer to use "Only current board members " polls are a dangerous tool to use if not worded directly and to the point. and they can still be skewed to benefit the group that people may not want. If seen this done many times with the AZG&F commission over the years on the fisheries side trying to get something through that normal people didnt want . but yet the group manipulated the questions and answers to mean something else. a close EX friend used MY fishing board to do the very same thing in a poll and at the G&F meetings showed the papers of said poll to show the commission that most people were in favor of it. which they werent cause of the way it was worded. not saying you did this intentionally.

You should have left option 4 not required. as it stands right now you have to answer it in order to complete the vote on the other questions. option 4 has the capability of being used for the benefit of any group to mislead.
