Azrunner you know your kid better than any of us. if hes a whimpy kid get him a smaller cal. if he doesnt whine alot get him a bigger cal. personally i would stick with a .243 .270 7-08 .308 as far as stocks go get a wood stock, not a composit. the composits on cheaper firearms suck and they bite a little more with a big kick. stay away from a pussy brakes. youll screw the kids ears up for life. there not fun to shoot and the 1st time you shoot one with out plugs you wont shoot it again. if you decide to cut down the stock make sure you buy a spare stock and cut it down not the org. The main thing is you get him a gun he can enjoy and not scare the crap out of him. hes your kid and only you knwo what he can or cant handle. our son has down syndrom hes about 4 foot tall his favorite gun is a springfield national match m1a1. our 2 girls were shooting .300 winmags in ruger #1 when they were 10, the prefer the 25/06 .243 and .270 .308 in bolt guns.

Ive shot them all. I liked the bowtech experiance better than anything out there at the time. mainly for feel kinda like a shotgun it fit me perfectly. a freind a few years back got into archery hunting he had me help him set up his hoyte I shot it and wow, if it was still lookin for a bow I would have bought that. Its the funky looking carbon one thats looks like branches (cant remember the name) it was smoother than my experiance and allot smoother than the one hoyte made just 4 or 5 years prior(whih was the same model). just over time things change.

Hoytes still pretty popular in the indoor and outdoor target world, They make great bows no doubt, but so does a bunch of others. over the last 10 years archery has come a long way. I would say there the number one selling for indoor and outdoor target bows, as well as recurves for targets. mainly its a name thing cause they were the 1st kinda to go for everything. meaning targets hunting 3d recurves all different draw lengths and weights etc etc. they pretty much covered all there bases which put more bows out there than anyone else. There name is huge and its world wide has always been. PSE has been out there for probably just as long, but back in the day they were just an average archery rig nothing special kinda liek the walmart of bows, They have come a long way in technology over the last 15 years and hitting the target circuit really hard, they make some great bows as well. there not the walmart of bows anymore they have a bit of class to them. I'm still a bowtech fan why cause I like there bows and the people that run the company, plus my daughter used to shoot for them and talked me into getting into archery again about 12 years ago which was before she officially shot for them. while she was home for Christmas she was talking about starting to shoot again but has to wait till she gets into fleet as she is in aircraft schooling now and doesnt have time. almost everyday for 8 years I was down at the archery shop with her 3-4 times a month for competitions and once a week for money leagues. for every non named bow bought I saw 20-30 hoyts bought maybe closer to 50. at the vegas shoots easy 500 hoyts to 1 non hoyte Target/3d shooting is HUGE more than hunting with archery. in AZ you will see alot of different bows for hunters one most hunters go for cheaper lines like PSE, and bowtechs sister company Diamond which are sold everywhere.

Just like 88 said money money money. I've known many pro guys and girls that can shoot any big name bow just as good as the bow there sponsored by. it has nothing to do with the bow.

Or they were hoping to blame that on the USA

Not for us, but for the sand N yup going to suck to be them.

it was a ukranian airliner too. Betting iran shot it down thinking it was one of our planes. Of course Iran said it was mechanical issues.

I'm at work just heard about it WOW I was kinda surprised they did it. it will be over quick we have lots of missiles to shoot back and pilots need practice also. I'm guessing our cruise missiles will start firing pretty soon.

What requirements to be considered a HAM pistol?
Delw replied to WhtMtnHunter's topic in Handgun Hunting for Coues Deer
BB thats my all time favorite handgun. I liek them much better than my old T/C's probably because it holds bigger rifle rounds with out going custom and the left hand bolt which I thought would be a pain in the butt is super nice. who did the custom barrel job for you? -
I am betting you were one of the guys that sold me half a dozen firearms, Thats f'n wild. I still have 1 or 2 old receipts from a few guns I Bought there. Somewhere around that time I ordered a 44 automag from you guys, had it for a while then sold it cause I didnt like it. I believe you guys ordered 2 or 3 of them. one was for one of the managers Thats how I found out about it. I think someone returned one of them and maybe one of you guys bought it. bought a few 24 power tasco target scopes from you guys as well. 1 I still have. Thats when tasco used to have good target scopes almost as good as the leupolds. cool store fore sure , miss that place I was in there almost everyday, wife was shopping I was plotting the next gun purchase. that little restaurant inside had great food too.

Would it have been the smittys on Grand? I bought a ton of guns from there since 1982 till they shut it down. they would order anything you wanted also.

I don't see anything wrong with a ar pistol as long as it doesnt have a brace on it. if it has a brace on it there maybe a problem? last thing I would use is an ar anything, heck savage, tc and a few others have .308 pistols and they are tack drivers. I remember a long while ago there was some talk about putting bipods on pistols (before the internet came out) saying it was an unfair advantage etc etc. cant remember whatever happened with that. Think I was reading it in one of the old varmit hunting magazine or it could have been shooting times. -

Interesting I couldn't find any definitions for hand guns in the regs. Except looks like they left out handguns or I'm not seeing it. but that all being said, I am guessing this applies I am guessing a brace will be up to the LEO checking you out. -
Thats what they said but I have my doubts
