You guys remember the Playboy club? Wife and I were driving to our reception and killing time from our wedding,with our best man and wifes maid of honor. we happened to see the playboy hot air balloon in the parking lot of the downtown mall. figured what the heck lets see if we can get a balloon ride would make for a cool pic if nothing else and we have time to kill. some guy came up and asked were was the reception, told them at a buddies house off central just north of here. he said not anymore its at the playboy club now, where like yeah right. he said you guys go with these people and we'll send people to tell your guests. we probably had 50-75 people there. They said drinks were 1/2 price and extra food food was free. 2 hours later it was a party like we never imagined that ended about 1:30am for April and I , Dad said everyone left just before the sun came up. was really cool, saw a wedding reception that was planned for months shut down and reset up at the playboy club in a little over 3 hours decorated and all. lots of big names came in said hi sports guys mainly, full bunny suit waitress staff they had misss Nov and dec. there greeting all the guest and hung around they shut the place down the following year in 83

So who has them and shoots them at long Range. I wanna here about it. A friend and I were talking today about them. but never tried them other than when we were younger. My dads buddies had them mainly in the semi auto brownings if I recall. I shot theres often when I was 12-18. Other than being beautiful rifles I could never hit crap with them, they didnt like the accuracy but loved the gun that was 40-50 years ago. Bullet availability has changed 10 folds in that time. so who has them in bolt guns and shoots them? is it a viable option or is the drop way to much. I havent looked at ballistics for maybe 20-30 years on those. elt alone thought about them until today.

dad alwasy used 2 or 4s and some multi duplex loads copper plated in the 3-1/2 mag. I have a few boxs maybe 100-350 rounds of various 3-1/2 loads if you cant find any by the time of your hunt. let me know. I wont sell it out right. just when you do find some after your hunt replace it round for round. Preferably #4 buck

There was 2 other bars that were cool, one had live music the other one didnt. the one that didnt was on the SE corner of cactus and 51st ave(think its a bicycle shop now), the other one with live music was on 51st just west of t-bird on the north side and its back yard was the wash. that bar was always packed cant remember the names the live band one had like sand in the back. we went to both places like 3-4 times a week and I didnt drink I was just the driver LOL

I remember it well. we went to it alot when we were young and I liked country music, man glad my wife talked me out of country music, she hated that place but went anyway. Some of it was good like when it was Live at the hayloft.

with that many parts in those broad heads I would say they did a dang good job of getting them all the same. I wouldnt be worried about the 5 grains I would be worried if they varied in which they dont so your good. if it does bother you that much by some brass washers or weights.

Grape vines at the end of 67th and union hills? was right where the outerloop is now. it was all dirt road too. 59th ave and cactus was all orchards, 67th and Peoria was mostly farmland. 83 ave and union hills was all orchards, used to dove/quail hunt at the arrowhead mall before the city took it over, was a cool place back then

Well that thinking got us into alot of trouble over the years now hasnt it.

when monsoon season came guys with trucks made bank pulling people of intersections and roads. floating down 67th ave in a rubber inner tube or raft from peoria stopping at 67th and olive for a six pack at 711 then to grand ,down grand to the circle k by the old napa building for another 6 pack.
