Actually i didnt, never even heard of water campers till now, well and "nobull" story about a recent buck. Oh good point on the scientific part of that, That never occurred to me. as far as poachers. I dont think poachers make a huge difference in the reduction or even close to lions, the problem is stupid kids and people out shooting everything, those people arent poachers per say there just killers. on the rest you forgot the most important part the Internet that screws up hunting.

They want to eliminate guides ;) just like you???

That sucks big time, Had a friend that had a nitro (fiberglass one). he lived in wickenburg. his boat over one winter was destroyed by mice, same deal covered very well and tight.

Talk to your guide buddies they have the most to loose, they should have no problem kicking in

One other thing. I believe if G&F set up a survey of licensed hunters ONLY you would find that half if not more would want a ban of cameras.

Ive hunted the strip since 82 during the archery season every year until the OTC was done. and then always was up on rifles season chasing varmits and 4 wheeling . spent a a huge amount of time up there. only thing I remember was the guides using ultra lights and some other aircraft back then, I dont remember running into anyone sitting at tanks all night. do remember a few guys running the roads and tanks with spotlights at night surveying the area before the hunts. but that spotlighting was done everywhere back then. some frowned on it some didnt. That being said me and a buddy sat at 2 tanks for a couple of days straight to see if the same deer came to one specific tank. which the did not theres a ton of tanks/seeps deer use and a desert muley can go up to 7 days with out hitting water( thats what we were told at a seminar in the late 80's cant remember the name of the guy holding it. Explain the "scientific opinion" aspect I confused how science can be used. bottom line there are xx amount of tags sold for each unit. so thats the number of deer that G&F feel that can be killed, granted they are using xx amount of a success rate. but with cameras and tons of Cameras they may have to drop the amount of tags due to success rates. They dropped the OTC archery season because they said too many deer were getting killed. I never saw a decline in bucks in the last 2-3 years but did see a huge increase in traffic the 1st week and a huge increase in wounded bucks. almost 50% of the hunters that I ran into said they or there buddy stuck one but couldn't find it some didnt even bother looking for it because the amount of targets were plenty. Kinda like elk hunting in unit 8 or 9

Maybe some of the guides who have alot of cameras can raise some quick money buy putting there trailcams on Craigslist.

The wads went by the type of hulls your using as well. I did buckshot many many years ago for 12s and 20's picking out the correct wad for me was always a problem , so I usually called Dad. kinda Embarrassing cause I been shotgun loading since I was 7 and I still get confused on wad types. Dad had me use paper/cardboard wads with a buffer back in the 80's and 90's they patterned the best. I'll look as I may have a paper for different buck shot wad types powder charges and buffer type. I have some shotgun books buck back then didnt find much info on buckshot.. I am sure if you look on the net there is something.

your not going to burn a .243 barrel out. Ive had mine since 90, shot prairie dogs every weekend with it thousands and thousands of rounds over the years and still to this day a tack driver.

I saw the one Mark at wildlife creations mounted for a local guy back in the late 90's, needed a forklift just to lift the hide I swear that hide was over a inch thick.

The also have a wssm which is a Winchester super short magnum . if I recall all those are based off 404 jeffery case cut down. heres a pic of the .223 WSSM .300 WSM .300 win mag and a 416 rifby
-
That would be something. I think the only thing I really want from Africa is a zebra and maybe a giraffe. I have a Winchester pre64 in 270 , it kicks a tad bit harder than my browning lever action in 308, ive only shot it maybe 20-25 times in 30+ years never at game just paper. Dad had one also a pre 64 that he used for everything. especially hogs in Texas and whitetails in upstate NY and Texas.

Naw man too light I wanna get draw for something so I can use my 416 rigby. I still havent bought any ammo for it yet last i looked 3 years ago at cabelas it was 140 bucks for 20 rounds, the expensive stuff was almost 200 for 20. I do have brass dies powder primers for it just missing bullets.

.270, .308, as far as a cow bison why buy a gun to include one of those as you can only get 1 per lifetime, so take that species out of the mix. I dont understand this part does it degrade over time?. what I think your doing is trying to justify ONE caliber thats good for everything which in my opinion is not a good thing to do. the three species your going to get drawn for the most in AZ are muleys, couse and elk(bull or cow) so find a cal that works for those 3. the other things you have are in heavy brush/ pines flats long range etc etc. always nice to have a bunch of rifles or different cals and different scope options. if I only had to pick one it would be a 270 winchester in ruger #1 or a bolt gun with a 4.5x14 x 50mm scope with a 30mm tube. but since I dont have to pick one I have many rifles in the same cals from .223-220swift-300 win mag(and alot in between) in different rifles and scope combinations cause in AZ you can hunt in thick stuff open stuff and long range stuff.

I hope while G&F is at it they find out a way to bann the internet too. Except porn sites ofcourse

Nice buck congrats

Guides to not bring any VALUE anymore than joe hunter does, infact guide probably bring in less money that joe hunter. They have a guide fee whopdido thats peanuts. that fee probably washes even with the cost of the test and paper/adminastartive work that G&F.

I'll get more info from him tomorrow on the specs. I still have cases left of AA and AA handicaps 12 20 and 28, I havent had to buy or reload shotgun shells in probably 20 years. I have never shot fiocchi so I know nothing about them.

Thats cool, 2 days season been open and you saw rams. you socuted quite a bit and didnt see that many did you? Is your Father using a bow or a rifle?
-
I'm betting there going to run it like trapping. only x amount per user need to have a tag on the cameras etc etc
