The later very late 70's/early 80's citories werent near as good as the earlier ones. something happened around then that made all once good shotguns feel subpar. dont know if it was due to cutting corners / change in material or just people getting sloppy over time, or browning coming along. Kinda liek the same thing browning did with beliguim those early browning belgium brownings were sweet guns. take a a citori from the early 70s made at that plant and a citori from later put side x side and you will notice a bit of a difference. especially in workmanship. I visited that factory when I was in Japan, granted I was a snot nosed kid back then but I remember it very well. heres some history on the miroku plant and browning. i didnt know that they made the lever 22 there for browning as well as a few others. https://www.browning.com/news/articles/brief-history-browning-legendary-miroku-factory.html

Nice I have a .223 wssm that I started working on for the ar-plateform but like everything I started on guns never finished. and that was years ago before they were offered. some ar nuts were talking about it so had to try it. then I heard of the .25 WSSM and 243 Wssm. the modified ar mags work extreamly well I got a 223 wssm A bolt I havent even fired yet.

The 60's to early 70's era shotguns were some of the best and smoothest ever made, ie winchester, browning, mirukus remington and a few others. then for some reason in the very late 70's -90s shot guns turned to subpar ie gritty, didnt function smooth and felt odd even the foreign ones. around 2000 beratta started making sweet shotguns again the ruger red labels where some of the smoothest shotguns I felt in a long time when they 1st came out blew away the same year winchesters and browning.

No but they kill ducks just as good. I have a 20 gauge 3" mag miruku charles Daily from way back when was shooting ducks, geese, dove and phesants with it 2 days after my Father bought it in in yokuska Japan in the very early 70's.. Rice patty ducks are huge, as well as the doves the doves back in Japan are bigger than a pigeon here. Killed quite a few Canadians in Washington state before they switched mandatory to steel shot.

This "Essential" label is 100 % bull$hit. everyone is essential from the dude in the hotdog cart to the dude working as an leo or healthcare worker. the labeling of "ESSENTIAL" put people against people. and now we have a class of people that think they are "Special". No body is better than anyone else, no one is more important than anyone else..

I've been tempted for 2 maybe 3 years now to book a lion hunt with him. Ive heard good things about his lion hunts. I'm just not ready to go on a dog hunt right yet.

Thats cool kids can call in some good stuff. our oldest Daughter called in a bobcat when she was around 10 or 11. we were calling foxs in 6A , she had a 22 mag/shotgun O/U and I had a shot gun. we were sitting about 10 feet apart from one another her watching my back and me watching hers(if you call in foxs you know why) I saw her face and knew something was going on, kept on mouthing "shoot it shoot it" she would just like like NO. after what seemd like hours which was about a min I turned around it was a bobcat running away. she said it was cool as shoot ran right towards me calling then stopped behind me about 20-30 feet or so then took off walking into the brush. She was worried to shoot as it might hit me. all but one cat (lions and bobcats) I called was with either a circee squeeler or a critr call squeeler. In the 30+ years I only called 2 maybe 3 in with electronic calls using a high pitch squeel.

Ive never seen one Glassing, Ive called a bunch in and have seen a bunch while driving down dirt roads after calling. seen a ton on the north rim of the canyon either in the review mirror along side of the road and one even sitting on a picnic table right across the street from jacobs lake lodge most where at night with snow on the ground. This year going to try again to glass one up, but I dont do alot of glassing like others. everyone that has seen them glassing tells me(even the stories on this website theve said there just sunning on rocks. they blend in pretty well with most rocks from the pictures I have seen.

YUP USO and a few others did this all the time in the 80's and 90s, both in unit elk and up on the north rim, then it was the tree stand crowed that figured if there tree stand was up no one should be around it, same went with ground blinds and cams when they 1st came out.

HAHA I just reread what you wrote , I didnt imply that you did . I dont understand the fanboy attitude on anything like ie football fishing hunting etc etc, gotta be a case of low self esteem, penis envy or something like that. doesnt make any sense why a grown man wants to be a cheerleader for someone.

Actually its the FANBOYS that cause more problems than the actual guide themselves. The FANBOYS are the ones in the woods blocking others access, telling people there fan boy is hunting this area so please respect him BLAH BLAH BLAH
