What to build? I have a old smith and wesson 1500 25-06 rifle. I believe its a howa action. trying to figure out what to build on it. instead of a 25-06. its going to be heavy barrel gun , going to run a alum chassie on it. just need some Ideas on cals for a long action. even thinking of a switch barrel just dont know yet if I can do it off that action. Did one off a remington action years ago 22-250 and a .308 which I copied off a gun smith friend of mine. I dont know if a just heavy barrel .308 win is a waste on that long action or not as that would be my primary. I guess theres always the 22 cheeta ideas?

They ended up banning contest back then but mainly due to the tv coverage. then they allowed prizes to be giving away as raffle tickets. Since fire works became legal lots less gun fire in our hood. its been non stop mortars since it got dark. our hood is light up big time. Seriously since the state legalized the kiddy foreworks I noticed more and more every holiday that the illegal fireworks have been really going off. its been getting better the last 4 years this year 4th of july was awsum and extreamly loud, but today makes that look like a beginners class. a few of the neighbors literally have truck loads of mortars. would make the old glendale community college show look like amature hour. I would rather have those that all the shooting a few years back. I havent heard 1 shot today at all. I went to get a hair cut this afternoon with our son in Da Hood and the guy next to me mentioned that even on glendale ave they have less gun fire since the bigger firecrackers and mortars started comeing over the last few years.

No they could make it like north rim units (add the sounthern units) and that 3c unit. I am betting thats what they will do., Then close them for OTC units. which would now put more archery hunters in a smaller amount of units avail for OTC

but what is that number? Id like to see the number for the early hunts and the late hunts along with the Jan hunt. Ive never seen them published.

you guys are opening a can of worms with OTC archery tags. My guess is the will make it permit only for coues in some southern units, this will do 2 things. stack the heck out of hunters putting in for north rim Muley hunts cause why do you want to waste your bonus points on wannabe deer (coues) and make it harder than heck to draw coues deer in certain units. Most archery hunters(not all) put in for rifle deer in select units then if they dont get drawn go OTC. Then the other thing, AZG&F by rules run a Equal system, This was discussed during the USO and NON Res debacle back in the 90's. I forget the actual bylaws they were talking about. but they have to have the same deal for non res and res. They wont make NR's goto draw for those OTC deer tag. they will make it the same for Both NR's and residents.
