I'm not singleing you out it sucks not to be able to hunt like you like , but in all honesty if someone knows they cant pul back a bow that they shouldn't be putting in for a Archery tag. theres always rifles and muzzy season and a few Champ seasons. Putting in for a archery tag then grabbing a crossbow permit. air bow permit is in my Opinion BS and shouldn't be allowed. Same deal with if someone gets injured between the time they got drawn and the time of there hunt. either use point guard or donate the tag. Which in my opinion again thats the only reason they should allow people to use point guard Legitimate excuses.

And you know this Because of your vast amount of experience archery hunting back when in the 70's-90's. This issue with tag swapping for champ tags has basically just started about 8-10 years ago, and has gotten more popular over the resent years. so no its not an exaggeration as you Say it is. just to be on the same page these, we are talking about archery hunters who get a tag and then apply for a permit to use a cross bow during the general Archery season due to an injury or supposed injury. Not people who put in for a legitimate Champ permit on the champ seasons.

Actually there is more than you think. at least more than I thought forsure. we ran into at least half a dozen one year in unit 8 during a early archery elk season. 3 of those guys we talk to. 2 guys were partnered both guys had doctor excuess, got drawn for archery then both had arm injuries and a note from doc which they got crossbow permits. both were in there late 60's. then a week later ran into another guy he had a wrap around his wrist got docs excuess. he was about 30. funny part he was splitting wood with an axe when we stumbled onto his camp. from what I understand if you injure yourself and the doc gives you an excuess you turn it into game and fish and in most cases they will give you a champ tag for your archery tag. Know a few guys on some boards that did the same thing years ago. a few were legit most were exagerated

exactly. I only use the annoying high pitch sounds mainly 3 of them. I dont have luck ie confidence in any of the others especially low pitch or barking sounds

the tail decoy is pretty cool, we usually tie a feather to a tree/bush with fishing line. its more of a help for when bow hunting them.. But I am thinking of giving one of those a try for firearms.. only reason I got the electronic calls years ago was cause my Daughter took a while to find them. that helped giver her an edge so to speak. 10 dollar hand call vs 350 electronic call hard to justify for yotes at times. lol

It depends. the same guy selling and buying. he wants the lowest price when buying and the highest price when selling. crys when selling something cause people jew him down, cry's when buying something when he cant jew someone down.

Powder charge recommendations from different sources
Delw replied to Rag Horn's topic in The Campfire
also different books and online factory data will have the same powder same bullet and way different loads. some vary 2.5 grains in a .223 for max load. -

what lucky duck ecaller you have? I been thinking of picking up one saw some videos over the last week using there callers I liked some of the sounds. mainly thinking about it for that little whirly attachment they have. Before my Daughter moved out we mainly hunted yotes with bows that thing would be perfect. I got 2 fox pros and they served me well but generally use high pitch mouth calls My favorite is Critter Calls there high pitch squeller in stubborn yote areas..

unless the insurance does a search for boating accidents online. they will see many had 10-20 over the last 15 years.

I called a few in for my daughter like that, pretty exciting when they get that close. we were sitting on a cliff having a snack and bullshitting one day late afternoon. I'd grab out the call every once in while and blow on it. Claudia was giving me crap and saying " I cant figure out how you call in elk cause that sounds like Crap" Her bow layed behind her out of reach. we heard some rustling on the cliff coming up Kid goes " Dad you called up another hunter boy is he going to be pissed when he gets up here." I blew again. figured he would turn around. Nope looked over and a big butt bull was about 10 yards away and started grunting and snorting. Claudia makes a mad dash for her bow and the thing just watches her. he wanders to the top grass patch between he and her was a manzanita bush. she was behind it I was 10 feet behind her and he was right on the other side staring at her. so after a few mins of this cat and mouse game she decides to crawl under the bush to get closer to it and hopefully get a shot. she gets almost to the other side belly crawling, the elk puts its head down in the bush. I hear a "WOW you have pretty eyes" the bull snorted at her she got hit with spit. then he walks 10 feet away she gets up draws and he trots off to about 50 yards head on, she miss's he just looks at her knocks another arrow and just as she released he turned away and trotted off about 100 yards.. we played cat and mouse with that bull for a couple hours. it got dark we started heading back to the Jeep which was like 3-4 miles away. that stupid elk gave her 3 chances to shoot at it well after dark closer than 20 yards. he followed us all the way to the jeep we got loaded up and he just stood in the middle of 2 track watching us. I think they like screwing with people.

I remember crying when I had to pay $2 a round for surplus 50cal ammo, but hey it came on pallets and they were all belted. was in the late 80's and early 90's. I think the name I used to buy it from was "ammo for less" over on bethany and 35 area.

Cabelas, Randals brunos, dillion generally any place that sell dies and reloading parts. might want to give them a shot. theres a few reasons the pins break. you stuck in a berdan primed case or small pebbles/sand in the case most common. other reasons are: you left the lock nut loose on the threaded rod that tightens the rod to the die. this causes the the rod to wobble sideways you didnt have the knurled knob that holds the pin into the rod tight. you have a bent threaded decapper rod. your pin isnt located and seated all the way up in the threaded rod. or you bent the pin and didnt notice it.

I sure do miss living on a base close to a runway., Always told my Daughter that when she was growing up. over the years it was ya I know dad you lived close to a runway. now she calls me and goes Dad listen to this.. marine F35's tacking off or landing and always the Helo's since shes on the runway almost everyday. couple of weeks before Christmas they took her out on one of her Hueys she works on. She's hooked talking about going to school to become and officer and maybe a huey pilot.
