is this considered Flying and unable to hunt same day?
davehc130 replied to davehc130's topic in The Campfire
You would be wrong. Don’t need to post pictures of game I’ve killed. Besides I’d post it in that topic not here. But hey if you have nothing to add to the discussion then you can not reply or you can add to the discussion. So go back and read my original post. All I asked was can you hunt the same day you video. And the answer is no... but thanks for your personal attack , that was helpful to the discussion. Or maybe just made you feel bigger.... -

Ummm didnt bitch I just wondered if you could hunt the same day. I actually thought it would be interesting to video like this. Not to scout but just capture video, but won’t now since it is illegal. Never bitched about it. Drone has like 15 minutes of battery, hardly enough to find game you didn’t see already. Maybe you need to not be so critical.....lighten up Francis. -
Congrats. Pear was almost nonexistent where I hunted but still glassed up 4 bears

hmmm directly from regulations.... Remember the fair chase ethic as new technologies are developed Fair chase is the ethical, sportsmanlike and lawful pursuit and take of free-range wildlife in a manner that does not give a hunter or an angler improper or unfair advantage over such wildlife. New technology developments impact almost every aspect of life, and sportsmen may wonder how hunting is affected as new equipment hits the market. Advances in technology are inevitable — there always will be a better way to craft a bow, firearm or ammunition. However in terms of fair chase, the line is drawn when that advancement becomes unlawful or provides sportsmen with an improper or unfair advantage. Take, for example, the smart rifle, drones, and exploding arrow tips in Arizona: -

I bought two maps...one I wanted to see if maybe the maps might be part of the reason my bear hunting spot was over run, so yes I bought it so I would have the facts rather than just assuming....I also bought the 6a because since I am headed out next week I wanted to make sure that area would not be over run..so yes I bought them to be informed..and in an odd way bought them to make sure I did not hunt anywhere nears his posted areas...so well I disagree with selling areas, at least I can know that the area I am hunting will not be over run with internet hunters....only one of his deer areas is near where I hunt so I will NOT waste my time over there.....dont you think that if I am going to bring up the issue I should at least have the facts? -

that funny, you all attacked me for criticizing this practice...so why complain about it??? so it is ok for a guy to charge for this...but not ok to post for free??? really....I for one think this practice should be banned and according to many these spots were never secret...funny how I bring up the issue and I GET ATTACKED but then I post an example of what these guys are doing and then get attacked for that.... -

Well guides provide a service to a few... one guide may have 4 clients and a guide while a gps location sellervsellers could send 1000 hunters into one area.

No but I bet he does. But again I’m not addressing a specific person but rather the practice as a whole. -
Have you looked at the stove less method on gohunt. I was pretty much doing it but his breakfast shake recipe is new. I head out on a solo 9 day hunt and packed with his list... much better than freeze dried... been there done that. 10 food supply is only 14 pounds plus not waiting 20 minutes to eat.

Well they can do both. Pass good laws and enforce current law. It is not either or....

This what WY HAS TO SAY ABOUT IT. The draft bill includes language that reads, “No person shall provide to a hunter for remuneration the location information of any previously scouted big or trophy game animal for the purpose of aiding the hunter in the taking of the big or trophy game animal.” -
https://www.fieldandstream.com/blogs/hunting-gear/2010/05/bestul-montanas-trail-cam-ban-goes-too-far montana banned cameras. Good step. AZ should follow suit!

Well in NY you can shoot a dog running a deer. In VA they run deer.. and yes I think running deer with dogs is unethical especially since dog don’t stop at a property line. I lived in VA and many occasions I had dogs run through my lease chasing deer..... so that to me is unethical as it impacted my hunt and my property. I could not hunt their property but their dogs were allowed to run deer off my lease. Is that fair????

Well if you go back to original post I never mentioned him by name and yes a few others do it... but yes he did single handedly ruined my spot this year.. only thing that changed from the last to this year and the previous 30 years was he just happened to post and sell the area I had been hunting since 1985.... so this is not specifically about him but the overall issue of selling gps hunting spots. Other states have outlawed this as they soon realized the practice was impacting wildlife and herd numbers. So guy can cast aspersions that I’m wimpy, I could careless. Not interested in whether some yahoo can take me or not. Interested in preserving hunting quality and opportunity. -

Even at 52 I can hump a ruck with most! You guys can give me all the crap you want and personally attack me but I would rather discuss the issue without the bashing. So I guess your good with selling hunting areas to an unlimited number of people. -

that not how I read it.....and well I have NEVER threaten ANYONE EVER ON WEB Page....people can have differing opinions but that does not make it acceptable to threaten people....how about civil discourse, some of these guy are acting like I have lost my mind at the same time that MANY western states have banned the use of cameras, limited the use of cameras, and banned selling hunting spots on line...I was just bringing that discussion here....I started hunting in AZ in 1982, back when you could draw an archery elk tag every year....but now with 7 million people living in AZ and same amount of game, hunting opportunities have declined, thats life, but in addition there are other things that are degrading hunting that if AZ enacted the same laws as other states, might improve the hunting conditions in AZ, or we DO NOTHING and watch hunting continue to decline in AZ -
What you should ask is how would I feel if a "guy" sold GPS waypoints to the areas I was hunting to make a profit off public land...well not so good....but hey if it is legal to sell such a service does not make it morally or ethical...but there will always be those people that care more about the dollar than about sportsmanship....hopefully AZ will follow the example of other states and make it illegal....then maybe internet hunters will actually have to go make an effort to find areas....but when one guy can tip the scale so far out of balance by selling UNLIMITED packages then that to me is unsportsmanlike .....

well since I pack in my own stand or blind it wont be a issue....
