I didn’t put in but I could see G&F letting the SS on the app fly through to grab the app $ and then discard app. Applicant would never know if the app made the draw or not. Just a pig in a poke!
-
I certainly would think if half the applicants screwed up and put their SS on the app and their system accepted it, they’re not going to refuse the donation

Congrats to you for getting back in the saddle! Sounds like that good friend of yours knew what you needed!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

That’s the one. Windy as heck on Friday afternoon as well. They all run together for me

Had snow last year during the same hunt, unit north of there last year. 97 or 98 snow again in same unit, same hunt but more of it. Short sleeves on Friday afternoon and Saturday afternoon bundled up!

Way to stick it out! Congrats!

Was up there about a month ago and caught a few at sunrise off a black wooly bugger with red head one brookie about 2 lbs. Sucks about reservation and algae, never made it there that trip. Browns should be spawning. Try horseshoe cienega and hawley

I was working in McCormick ranch the summer it hit 122 and everyone was losing their minds! I remember thinking it’s just another day in June! What’s everyone so worked up for! Well my body responds to the heat differently these days!🤣

I kinda think as you say, we’re getting older and have a harder time tolerating these Indian summers. I think these periods of dry warm weather come and go. Heck, we had snow on the October WT hunt last year in southern ax. Our family has weather records going back to 1911 here in southern az and from what I can remember looking through those, the 30s May have been as rough or rougher than what we’ve gone through in recent history and they didn’t have all the concrete and asphalt. Who knows? Good topic though

It was his actions of capitalizing off of our state that was villainized. His response to the outcry speaks volumes to his character in my opinion. I’ve hunted with at least half dozen younger and middle aged new hunters over last 10 years who’s priorities were their videographer skills rather than making an ethical shot and not taking a shot unless they could get it on film. In my simple mind, this is a sickness and YouTube hunters will continue to promote our state, not knowing the damage they do!

Just read about it. Good God! All about the Benjamins!

I believe it’s the new online hunter education course?

Huh? I have a handgun in my truck 100% of the time. No matter what laws are in effect, if there is a lunatic running at my truck and doesn’t stop, no matter what the circumstances, he’s probably going to get shot. I guess I want to be alive to defend myself! This is all just the usual noise!! -
He’s a dandy! 178”

I think most on this site would agree with you on education. It’s just kind of a touchy thing when anyone brings up stricter gun laws. Kind of understandable that you might feel that way a bit considering you saw the guy laying there being worked on. Education has to start at home and with so many growing up in broken families and with the number of firearms floating around in this country, I actually think it’s a miracle that more of these shootings don’t take place -
Well then he was even tougher!

Buckskin Leslie must’ve been a tough character. Just like a boy named Sue!

Right. How many honest firearm carrying individuals are put in positions where they might have to defend themselves? -

I had a similar thing happen near that stretch of road 15 years ago. Night before I loaded 3-4 ton river rock into the dump trailer with the skid steer. I dumped a few onto the fender which had a flat surface and thought, I need to remember to knock those stones off before leaving to Anthem the next morning. Well I forgot and about 530 the next morning, an irate guy pulls along side me on lake pleasant parkway yelling and screaming pointing to the cratered windshield. I knew then that I’d forgotten those stones. He pulled in front of me with his bass boat in tow. I felt horrible that he was going to miss the morning bite or part of it. He wasn’t happy of course but I completely owned it and we settled right there on the road. His insurance company covered the glass and I sent him a couple hundred dollars in Fisherman’s choice gift cards. That story also could have ended a lot differently if I hadn’t done anything wrong!
