Your comment reminded me of an incident 20 years ago when our daughter was 9ish. She’d just gotten a butt whooping and 5 mins later a 911 operator called the house regarding a call they’d received from our daughter that involved child abuse. Well my wife pretty much told the operator that she’s going to get it again and feel free to send someone out to watch! Nobody ever showed up! It was said here recently that Society is morally bankrupt! Absolutely! Until we pull our heads out of our asses and start being parents to our kids rather than their friends this shiit will continue!

My wife is the tortoise nut. She has several sulcata and native desert. The huge one we had years ago left piles like a horse would drop. We sold our house in northwest Peoria and tried to take her with to our place in so az and she freaked out excreting uric acid ( I think) and I guess that’s bad so we left her with the buyers who were thrilled. Couple years later we found out from them that she got out. Yes like Edge says they are Houdini’s. She didn’t dig out because the wall footers were too deep. Only thing she could have done was continue to test the gates that had self closing springs but found one that didn’t close? Who knows? Anyhow they got her back about 2 weeks after she’d gone missing. Awhile after she started digging deep under different plants, destroying the landscape. Next thing they knew there were little ones showing up. 46 that they found! They sold the little ones to some pet shop for like $1800 if I remember right? Crazy!

Some real idiots! There was a manhunt in our area about 12 years ago and after a couple hours the guy was found on our land not far from our house. A bunch of DPS guys and a bunch CCSO guys had been out here for 2 hours and couldn’t get him. 2 BP guys showed up late to the party and got the guy in about 15 mins. He was a white tweeker.
