I'm against Auction and Raffle tags, and especially against adding any additional. Since more money is needed, just put a mandatory donation box before you hit the submit on each species application. So if your applying for an elk tag for example; it might say you must donate at least $10, of course the wealthy can always donate more. For deer for example, it might say a different value, as well as a minimum donation fee for turkey, javelina, sheep etc...These donations can be based on how many applications they intend to receive for the draw.

Instead of a tag grab, maybe the commission would go for this idea to raise money. For the 365 day (Aug15-Aug 14) Raffle/Auction tags, change it to Aug 15-Dec 31st. Currently a fair number of raffle/auction hunters don't tag a animal one year, so they will continue to hunt the following year and tag a buck/bull in velvet. By shortening the season this would allow the commission to issue more auction/raffle tags. So say you were issuing 6 tags, then increase it to 10-12. This would nearly double the amount of money the department makes on these tags, while allowing twice as many people to hunt, because one individual won't be able to hunt both years. I think there will be enough wealthy people still willing to pay the current bid prices, even with more hunters in the field, and a shortened season

For the tag grab issue, they just need to end that idea altogether. If the department needs more money, just raise the price tag on quality hunts througout the state. New Mexico's draw is set up this way, and I think it would work well. I could justify paying a higher price when I draw a quality early season bull hunt, while the person who draws a late season tag would pay the current fee.

Looks like we can hold onto our cams a little longer. I have a few I'll put up this year, but I do think it's just a matter of time before cams will be banned. I don't think the commission had a solid plan in mind, so they let it go for now.

Ordered two pairs, thanks!

I'm 100% AGAINST creating any additional Raffle/Auction tags! Anything that we can do to stop this group, and bad idea I'm all for it! Arizona does not want to be the next Utah with this only the rich and lucky tag idea! Just ask a Utah residents how Auction/Raffle have ruined their draw system, and draw odds forever..... -
Anyway g&f writes the rule, if it's just excluding one group or all won't matter, all cams would be getting ripped off trees. There won't be signs next to cams saying what they're used for, so if somebody sees a cam even if being used legally, it's still likely getting ripped off the tree.

Yep...If there's a rule of no trail cams, the other hunters will take care of any left out, and g&f won't have to do squat.

I'm selling my nearly brand new Summit Goliath 180 MAX Climbing treestand. This treestand has been used once this past September, and is in perfect condition. Also included is the brand new safety harness that came with the stand. You will be getting this stand for half the price I bought if for, so a pretty good deal for you. This is a great stand for the lucky hunters who just drew archery elk tags and plan to sit water, or a trail. Treestand is located in Phoenix, but I can deliver to Flagstaff. Price is $250...Please call/text Mike..928-699-4160 Thanks

Rules are posted below. I think these rules are clear stating that no trail camera should be used within 1/4 mile (440 yards) from a developed water source. I also think this rule clearly states live action cameras (Cams that send pics to cell phone instantly) are not to be used anywhere in the woods at all. IMO it defines a live action camera not being allowed in the woods at all to take, or aid in take of wildlife. The part that needs to be defined better is the taking, or aiding in the take of wildlife. This leaves the idea that if I'm just out in the woods to view wildlife with my camera, and I'm not helping take, or aid in the take of wildlife (meaning I don't have a tag, or not guiding anyone) then I should be able to use a camera anywhere in the woods. Currently these rules are somewhat confusing, and could use some additional info to help clear the use of trail cameras. However if these rules are posted in the regs as currently proposed, I won't be risking my cameras on water being I don't think they'll be there when I come back. On Page 31: Live action camera means an unmanned device capable of transmitting images, still photographs, video, or satellite imagery, wirelessly to a remote device such as but not limited to a computer, smart phone, or tablet. This does not include a trail camera that only records photographic or video data and stores the data for later use, provided the device is not capable of transmitting data wirelessly. On Page 34: 4. A person shall not use a live-action trail camera, or images from a live action-action trail camera, for the purpose of: a. Taking or aiding in the take of wildlife, or b. Locating wildlife for the purpose of taking or aiding in the take of wildlife. 5. A person shall not use any trail cam, or images from a trail camera, for the purpose of taking or aiding in the take of wildlife within one-fourth mile (440 yards) of the outer perimeter of a developed water source. On Page 30: "Developed Water source" means any developed, placed, or man-made structure that collects or stores water with the primary purpose of providing water to wildlife or livestock.

Best bow I've ever shot, good luck with the sale!

He looks pretty old to me, probably 7-8 years. Just didn't have the genetics to get real big. Neat antlers though, he would still be a good buck to go after!
