New to coues deer hunting, but addicted now. Had a great weekend of hunting and just wanted to say thanks to the site. Learned a ton on here.

Spotted a buck about 1000yds out around 1530. Moved to the next ridge to get a closer look. By the time I got over there the buck was gone. Sat there and just waited for a while and around 1630 a 3x3 stepped out. Wasn't what I was looking for, but was hoping a bigger buck was with him. Sure enough at 1700 this guy stepped out. I was at 440yds and cut it down to 275 since I knew I'd be shaking. Dropped him and had a crazy pack out. I got cliffed multiple times, sat down at one point and looked down the path I came from and there was two eyes staring back at me. Still don't know what it was, but I can guess. Made a lot of noise after that. Couldn't ask for a better first buck though.

That's the plan. What does a shoulder mount run?

I don't know much about these rifles, but it says it's a no4 mk1/2. It's in good condition and comes with 60 rounds. Cheap bushnell on it that would probably need replaced. Let me know if you have any questions, thanks for looking. $250 OBO.

Standard is 19.5" without the choke. Slug barrel is 23.5".

For sale is a used Mossberg 835 shotgun. Takes 2-3/4, 3, & 3-1/2" shells. It comes with the ulti-mag 19" barrel and the rifled slugster barrel. Hello, I'm new to coues deer hunting, and seeking some advice. I plan on hunting the upcoming early archery season and was curious if it is more beneficial to hunt water from a blind or spot and stalk? I prefer spot and stalk, but if there are more opportunities from a blind, I am flexible. I can't hang cameras in the area so that limits scouting the water. Thanks for the help. Coty
