Bambi’s tough. Didn’t even blink when they pulled that splinter...

If you build the meth, they will come...out.

Would like to sale this very rare deer mule mount

This thread(s) started off sideways. Now it’s doing brodies in a rain slicked parking lot. -
I wait until the coals are full infrared, no more flame or off-gassing. Used it the other night on some baseball cut prime sirloins. Outstanding. I definitely prefer the square design over the traditional round one. It fits the lump charcoal that I prefer over briquettes.

I just can’t... -
I won’t be making the “plunge” into sus vide for a couple months at least. One thing to consider for everyone as far as searing goes... buy a square chimney style charcoal starter. I fill mine 1/2 way and light it off. Throw your grill rack from the gas bbq or Weber right on top. The square version gives you a much bigger surface and works better with lump charcoal. It gets hot AF and there was enough room on mine to use as a grill for 2-4 people. It also works great to sear tuna loins on all sides for an awesome crust with a true raw interior. For tuna guys, smash lime zest, fresh thyme and kosher salt with a little canola or grape seed oil together and coat the outside. It’s awesome if that’s your thing.

I’m currently in the market as well. I’m following along to absorb as much info as possible from our little community.

Looks REAL good muledeer. I normally start at a max oven for 25 mins. Then 275 degrees until I hit 125. After a rest I get rare to med-rare with a crust. I smash rosemary, thyme, black pepper, coarse salt and a dash of olive oil in my mortar and pestle. Brush the roast with balsamic and bathe the roast with the smash mix. Edit: all seasoning done before cooking.

Wheel size would be a bigger concern for me over a possible front load option for me. I might be alone here.

Chimes in. Never done it. How long would it take? 10 hours in vacuum? Maybe 120 degrees for us vampires?

OTC tag? Or troll post? Serious question. Good advice available on this site. AZGFD where to hunt is a great starter. Not at all familiar with glass canyon, but I don’t name the fingers I’ve hiked and have kicked my butt. Great 3 point genetic that will produce a 140-160” deer in the areas I know, but not willing to give that up to just anyone.

Any groups or load data? Thank you in advance.

Seriously? Also, how do you fork over 30+k without due diligence as far as research these days. Not to diminish the OP’s suffering, but how?

Kaibab, I like the box above the damper. Additional radiant heat and the chance it will beat those sudden pressure changes. I was on a bull hunt in unit 8 in 2013 when we suddenly had smoke pouring out of the front of that same stove.

2nd bump for a good seller and a guy with a sense of humor.

I was hunting up high and saw two sets of tracks in the snow I could have swore were wolves. My family has been going to the area since the 40’s and I’ve never seen this many dogs. The 22-250 will be seeing some action this summer/spring.

If you like that, look up TwinzTv on YouTube. They take this to a whole new level. Just showed pops one of their bait bike pranks. He’s now trying to get beer out of his nose.

He’s still in the process of finding out. They collared 30 more animals and doesn’t have data yet, but did mention drought. I will say that I saw more coyotes in the areas I concentrated on than I ever have before. Way more. Officer was W. Lemmon, seemed like a good guy.

I spoke to the WM in unit 8 about the antelope. He said they have seen a major die off and he lost 7/7 collared animals in the unit this year. He also said fawn recruitment this year was almost non existent.

I was in a 12x20 Alaknak with a stove. One of the guys got a chest cold and I ran 2 Buddy heaters for a night to give his lungs a break. Not nearly as warm as burning oak in the stove and the amount of moisture on the walls in the morning was horrible.

I agree with a few things posted here. The world is changing and we owe it to our hunting community to police ourselves. Social media is now the norm. These “over the top” pictures of kills and piles of dogs are just fuel for the fire. These people that oppose us are uninformed yet highly opinionated. I don’t feel at all that discretion is “backing down” in the least. Just my 2 pennies.

Slept in an outfitter tent in unit 8 from Nov26-Dec13. Saw bucks go from pre -rut to full on chasing with swollen necks. Had hunters in camp that didn’t have enough sense to get out of the rain(figuratively). 1/2 on bulls, 1/3 on cow. Oh well...
