How did it taste? -
Thanks for sharing. Really enjoyed that coues skull in the left-hand corner of the first picture. I am sure you were a happy hunter when you found that one.

Grizzly if sale is still pending, I live in Mesa, can pick them up for 300 cash. Let me know.

To heck with the sheds look at that Bronco in the background!

That a boy. Besides a fishing pole, what kind of bait did you catch that critter with? Being a flathead I assume live bait.
-
Man, he looks bigger with the girth and mass. Big enough in anybody's book.Good call on the bed. At least you know where to start looking for him.

Thanks for posting . They look real big under that tree where he found them.Any guesstimate on a score , or post a picture with something else for comparison, please.

Nikon claims that the rangefinder will read out to 800 yards with the right conditions with yours what has been a consistant long range reading? I doubt I will ever need much more than 400 to 500 yards but I was just curious. AzPacknHorns In my experience I have consistently ranged out to 200 to 500 yards on anything from basketball sized rocks.barrel cactus, bushes and anything that would reflect back. I practice shooting at a 5 gallon yellow bucket lid at 350 yds and you probally know it looks awful small thru a 12 x scope. The farther you range out the more steady, like on a tri-pod or a steady rest, you need to be.The only thing I would worry about was brought up in a earlier post about a dark background it would probally be hard to see the read-out. For the money, which ain't to cheap, but cheaper then some of the others, I think it is worth every penny. I don't range out past more then 400+ though, but I think you would have the steadiness problem with the other brands also.

I own the Monarch 800 and I really like the fact that I can hold the button down, and scan different area's close by and get accurate readings. Alot easier then holding at different targets and then shooting for a yardage. So far so good.

All that stuff helps. It helps because it gives you confidence, but you still have to work the wind.

Thank you Mr. Rabbit. Very informative.

What is a 87 doing with a carb? Toyota introduced EFI in "85". And tell me more about the custom lift.

Mr. Red Rabbit where can I find ballistics on the .218 Bee.The woman" who ripped my heart out" father ,back in the 80's, had a matching set of two. One bolt action , one lever action. Don't know the maker. They were small ,like a .22 size. I fell in love with them and never seen anything about them again.I really have not looked, but with your knowledge could you enlighten me?

WFGinNM I purchased a pair of 12x50's Predators and feel it was the best purchase for me.What attracted me to them first was the eye-cups that are cut to form around my eyes that other manufactuers don't have, thus blocking out the light. Then the weight, super light, lifetime warranty, and I felt better carrying one pair of high quality 12x50's instead of two pair at different maginification.I did a net search and got a smoking deal. For under a grand I got all Steiner products including the suspension system, tri-pod adaptor, lens-pen,cushioned neck strap, one carring case for just the bino's, and one big bag, like a total video optics bag that alone retails for over 100.00. All STeiner and all German quality.Do a search thru bino.com for the best deals. The Predators line is supposed to highlight the grey's and red's and null the green's. Bottom line I love them. Good luck and you won't be dissipointed.

Geeze Louis Coosefan, that last picture with the spider-web could make the cover of Alaska Highways. Very good eye for photography. You have to blow that one up and frame it on your wall. -
I was going to get the G-5 , and it a super nice sight, but I shoot one of those "super fast" bows and went for the 7 pin Spott-Hogg for longer distances.I know have a pin from 30 yds through 100yds in increments every 10 yds. I jumped from 80yds to 100yds ,in case your checking the math. You will run out of room with the G-5 sight window if you expect to set up your pins in increments of 10 yds and shoot out to 100 yds.My only complaint is I broke off some of the fibers ,dragging it through brush,I shoot spot and stalk.Sight still works fine. I just have to replace the whole fiber for the full light gathering ability. They are both great sights, it depends on your fps bow & arrow set up and how far you comfortably feel you can shoot.
