Awesome thanks for the heads up guys, Im gunna try and shoot a few if we get the chance. I'll have 2 days to hunt. Im going to try and fill up the cooler. Talked to the G&F out there and they want us to shoot as many as we can I guess there becoming a real problem. Id like to bring as much meat home as I can tho they sound pretty good. Could make some awesome red and green chili with it I bet as well.

Has anyone on her had the chance to hunt and eat them? Im sure quite a few had? Im going on a hunt next week and was hoping to fill the cooler up but was wondering how they taste and how you guys go about cooking them?

Looks like a pretty good buck . There's a lot of good growth this year sure wish I had a tag still :/

I too believe that Deer get most of there water from there food if its during the wet season. Its amazing how long they can go without hitting a major pond or other water source. Just using small puddles and the vegetation to keep them going.

I just bought 2 dozen ramcats cant wait to shoot a hog with them in 2 weeks and see how they do.

Hopefully ill have to post a few after this weekend. Saw a few 2 weeks ago that looked pretty solid.

Ill have my camera back this weekend im using a handy cam but it works really well. Able to film useable video out to around 1,000-1,200 yards. I filmed my deer I shot with it as well as a few short clips last year haven't had a bunch of time behind it but I like it a lot better than the old one I was using.

I've been Using Power Director 15. I believe there running a deal on it. I like it a lot. I have zero filming and editing experience i'm self taught and have learned a lot and have made some pretty cool videos using it. Im still learning but its pretty easy to use. My issue im having now is finding music that isn't gunna cause me issues down the road.

Great that's what I like to hear.... Hopefully I can find me a solid and unbroken bull to chase. Cant wait to get out and start looking.

O alright, and yea I have the 2200 and like it. Im waiting for them to come out with there new frame pack then will get it and maybe sell the 2200 and get the dos.

O gotcha, Ive always liked those packs. If I have some funds left over after I find me a tripod ill have to get with ya.

If were spotting and stocking we try and do our best to pattern the deer a few weeks before the hunt. Usually the does will bring the bucks up the same draws, across the same ridges or under the same rock pile way more times than not. By doing that we've been able to try and get ahead of the deer and let them come to us. We try and not force the situation if we know there maybe another chance to get back on the buck another day. During the rut if you can try and hunt all day if your hunting with some one have them take the glass while you take a cat nap and switch off. I don't know how many times we have been eating lunch or just kicking back and seen bucks get up and never knew they where there. Ive shot 4 out of my 5 bucks between 11-2 and the other was around 9am. During the rut they seem to be wondering more in the mid day up in the high country. The last 3 bucks ive shot have been within 200 yards of each other and the last 2 were over the same scrape line. A lot just depends on how you like to hunt them. There amazing animals, I usto just chase mulies but the coues bug bit me hard the past few years.

You know about how heavy it is and how tall it adjust to?

I drew a 23 late bull tag we will Be going up there soon. Heard the horn growth up there this year is looking great.

Cant wait till they lift ours... SUcks this is the best time of the year for us non deer tag peeps haha.
