Ted Cruz wants feds to dump all puclic land
mattys281 replied to Devil Diver Down's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
I don't think that anyone at all in the White House or the Congress gives a crap about our guns one way or the other. I'm 100% certain Obama was a paid gun salesman. Nobody in history ever made more guns & ammo fly off the shelves. I wonder if they'll put Hillary on the payroll too? Follow the money & you'll find the truth and the truth is that the gun industry does nothing but benefit every time a politician makes an anti gun speech. Ruger's stock went up about 10% between Mar 1990 to Mar 2009, but is up 850% during Obama's regime. Hmmmmmm, wonder what's going on here.... -
Let me give you a little tip on dealing with them: just smile, give them the southern slam, "ohhhhhh, god bless your heart!", and than whisper a silent prayer to thank god for people like that. Think about it, when you finish your degree and start competing for jobs do you want to run against a hundred smart, hard-working well informed people? Or is it better to compete against a bunch of air heads?

Ted Cruz wants feds to dump all puclic land

I can only tell you one thing for certain out of all this mess: if trump wins the primaries and the gop pulls some slimy back alley crap to put up romney or any of their other stooges, that will be the day I first register as an independent (just so the gop wont have my name on their list) and the last day I participate in any federal election process. Im weary of choosing the lesser of two evils. One will never prosper because of something the gov does anyway, you must learn to prosper in spite of what the gov does. -

I like 2 things about him: 1. Hes not a politician (and rarely politically correct, for that matter). 2. Hes a successful entrepreneur and self made billionaire. This guys knows how to raid, gut, rebuild and turn around a corporation. All a country really is is a giant business. Who do you want running the biggest business in the world? I think trump may be the biggest bastid ever to walk the face of the earth, but hes still the most qualified candidate for the job. And as a disclaimer, I pay more in taxes then a lot of people earn, so yes im biased and I want some one who will stand for small business and the middle and upper class instead of constantly pandering to a bunch of never-do-wells and screwing me out of what I worked for. -

Looks like a pretty exciting couple months. Nice work! -
Maybe it's just me, but I saw this on another site and thought it was hilarious. Good luck on your hunts everyone!

This is how we did my whitetail from last year. My buddy has a big commercial grade meat grinder and it chewed through half-frozen meat like it was butter, but the stuff that's completely thawed tends to get gummy, smashed up around all the moving parts and just clogged the thing up.
-
Congrats to him. That is a crazy looking bull!

Man, that ole buck is a WARRIOR! I'd love to see that guy next year, if he can keep both sides on for a while.

I thought that was hoggin in the Scottsdale bars??? No no no, we got low class hogs right here in east Mesa. if I had to choose between a called coyote and a horny fat chick I'd take the coyote though I hear ya. I think that we've all bagged a fox or two, only to find that in the sobering light of morning they were actually coyotes all along. God, I loved that bar! What's your favorit coyote call? Mine was always, "Hey girl, let's get outta here and go find a Jack-in-the-box... I knoooooow you're hungry..... " Ohh crap, I got confused, that was the hog call.

Come on man who doesn't like a great 4 hour soccer match that ends in a 0 - 0 tie and 27 deaths? Gotta love some peoples enthusiasm, I guess.

Good time to be rabbit hunting. Wish I had the time to get after it.

Interests: cold beer and women can we talk about that? I like both of those things. Not sure which I like better, guess it depends on how long since I had one or the other. Some times its nice to have first one, and then the other.... and then the first one again. And maybe a sandwich too... I also like bows, power tools, 4x4s and guns. Lots of stuff to talk about besides 'hope' and 'change'.

Seems to me that your Hoyt has some pretty good mojo. I'd have a hard time selling that guy off, given his track record. Just sayin.....

Rage 3-blade broadhead SUCK!?!?!
mattys281 replied to AZ_Native's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
Bottom line: a field point will do the job when put through the lungs, liver or guts. It'll just take longer and be a tougher tracking job. Use what you have the most confidence in, and know that nothing is ever perfect. Literally anything could fail at any time. Ive shot a few animals with each type and wouldnt hesitate to use either. -
A few years ago my brother and I backpacked into the ventana wilderness area for a couple nights, following rumors of a population of public land pigs around the big sur river in the w.a. we stopped at the n.f. visitor center to get directions as we were having trouble finding the trailhead. Lady we talked to asks, "you guys taking a gun in with you?" We didnt have one, we were bowhunting. "Ok, well... watch out for lions, theres quite a few in the area." After a 3hour hump straight up hill through some truly beautiful country, tall waving grass, massive oak trees and glassy blue ocean below us, we got to the top of the hill and ended up on a dirt road that was locked at the bottom, but residents were allowed to drive in on. After about 10minutes down the road a couple old guys pull up in a pickup and stop to chat us up, you never guess what the question they asked? "You bring a pistol with ya? No! Well, watch out for lions..." We didnt see any but I slept with one eye open that night. The people of rural california got screwed big time by anti hunters and ignorant voters. They're aware of it, but what can they do?
