BS....Trump is the ticket for bringing this country back to freedom and being proud to be American again. Trump is the ticket for anyone that works for a living and believes it is theirs, and only theirs, responsibility to provide for themselves and their family. Its all the people that think their entitled to a 100k per year lifestyle off of a 25 hour per week starbucks job that are the problem. Theres a lot of those. Maybe too many. Trump need to change a lot of peoples way of thinking or he needs to learn how to pander to the 'give me free stuff' crowd. I hope he wins, but I dont have much faith in the American voter as a whole. Trumps the 'i brought back the jobs, now go to work!' Guy, not the 'here is a free obama phone' guy. Which one will take the millennial and minority votes?

Nice work! Congrats to them.

Say what you will but my Sitka pants are the most comfortable pants I've ever worn hunting. There's probably others out there that are cheaper and more comfortable but nothing that's decent is cheap I like sitka gear too. I'd personally spend $500 on clothing & $200 on a bow if I had to watch my budget. I've been chased home by cold weather & rain/snow before. I don't deal with cold too well, so I buy stuff that's wind proof and well insulated. That's what keeps me in the field, not being cold. A $1500 mathews has never done anything for a guy that had the shakes and was getting cut to the bone by the wind.

We had a richard head in our class. He insisted it was pronounced 'heed', but it was spelled head. Talk about some messed up parents. ... poor kid.

Congrats! Sounds like an awesome trip!

Sounds like an accident to me and clearly the fault of the 2% that stole all his money so all he could afford was a trident instead of a 12 gauge. No worries, jessie and al will be here soon to help him.... unless his a white guy, then he's obviously racist, guilty and deserves to fry. #mermanlivesmatter

This^^^^^ is exactly why we live in a representative republic and NOT a democracy. Our constitution is probably the greatest example of forethought and careful planning that the world has ever seen. Every word carefully chosen to ensure liberty, not democracy. The masses of people are generally speaking always poorly informed and most are unqualified to make decisions that will effect the entire populace. Heck, most people can't even run their own households. That's why the power of the popular vote is intentionally very limited in our government. God save us from ourselves. "Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote." Benjamin Franklin

I've always felt like teaching was a very noble calling, and I admire someone that voluntarily sentences themselves to such a meager existence, because they feel like they can do some good in this world. I also question their sanity for it. I wouldn't even consider doing that job if they made 4x what they do. Philanthropy aside though, I vote no for every one of these bills. The status of our schools is a symptom of the state mismanaging money, and the worst thing you can do is give someone that can't handle money more of it to piss away.

I don't mind this junk mail. Nice reading material while sitting on the can. I did get some free dvd's that had some pretty good horn porn in them.... but still, not a fan at all of my first & last name, street address, and the location of where & when I'm hunting being distributed to anyone that wants it.

I think its horse chit. I get plenty of junk mail already and it makes me furious when solicitations from them start showing up. Its nobody's business what tag I drew. I consider it a violation of privacy.

Longest ive gone is 5 days at 40-45 range. If there s reliable water in the area I can get under 35. Several years ago i went with a couple guys on their first trip. They brought everything! Both were around the 50# mark for a two night trip. I was bouncing up those hills at 28#, and that included a slik tripod and 12x binos in there. I cant go that light on a hunting trip because that ultra light pack isnt any good for hauling dead stuff, but its great for scouting and just-for-fun trips.

I think the same way, or at least I start out that way. I would be an awesome minimalist hiker but then I bring all my hunting gadgets and camera gear. Yeah i must've loaded my pack a million times over the years, but some how it still gets heavy and I still have to go back through it to slim it down to my 45 lb limit.

Looking a book about Camping spots up north

I'm a book guy myself. Hate the kindel/tablet ebook crap. The only computer reading I do is hunting forums & emails. -
To the guys that want to try it, best advice I can give is just go do it. You dont need to overwhelm yourself with expensive gear. The first several trips I made were with day packs that had a gigantic 20lb. Coleman sleeping bag tied to the outside. You only need four things: food, water, a sleeping bag and a rolled up blue foam mat which can be had from walmart for about $4. Thats literally all it takes for a two night trip. Thats the real beauty of it: its simple.

Never thought about going back and forth between the 2. I think I'll do it just to satisfy my own curiosity. heck, I've got the time... That's the best reason there is for tinkering with anything. At least then you know if you liked it or not.

I'd stay away from feathers on a compound bow. The few grains of arrow weight you save are not worth the durability issues + having to waterproof them.
