I like the idea of establishing elk herds in other states. It'll take a few years, maybe more than a decade, but eventually when these people have good elk hunting opportunities closer to home, maybe they won't have to apply for non-res tags and then our draw odds might get better.

I think it's very cool, especially for the people of West Virginia. Years ago I read that AZ G&F had made a deal to trade antelope to Utah for mule deer. At that point they were 'managing' the herd to make way for the rape of BLM lands that are now occupied by tract housing in Prescott Valley. Those antelope never had a chance against land developers and the all mighty dollar, so if we had to lose them at least we gained some deer out of the deal and the antelope helped the herds in Utah.

My wife and I bought a fixer upper south of Prescott last fall. Were still in the valley for another year or so but spend as many weekends as we can up there and absolutely love it. We are walking distance to the national forest and 15-20 minute drive from down town and any shopping that the boss wants. We have over a hundred trees on our little one acre piece of heaven and see deer every single day that we are there. They walk down the streets and through everybodys yards in the neighborhood. Its awesome and we cant wait to be there full time. Only 90 minutes from sky harbor. If you want to come look around some weekend let me know. Im strapped with with work for the next couple weeks but thinking about getting back up there keeps me going

I have a 2015 Mathews nocam that sits in the closet almost never being shot. Probably has some where in the 300ish round count on it. Has a brand new vapor trail limbdriver rest on it, and I have a couple different sights we could put on it for the money you’re looking at. I e been meaning to put it on eBay for a year and a half but never get to it. Pm if you want more info pics whatever

I would like to revise my earlier statement. Not sure how it works on javelina, but history has shown this method is nigh fool-proof for louring both trojans and stinky-frenchmen from their lairs.

Not sure from your picture, but most of the pig caves I know about aren’t that deep. I’d fetch a really bright flashlight and someone to hold it for me then try to shoot him out of there (with the bow of course, I’m not self reporting jack poop). If you can’t see it in there, make a spear and go in after him or go find yourself another pig. You wouldn’t be the only one who failed to recover one. My conscience doesn’t require me to engage in hand to hand combat with wild animals, it just requires me to make my best effort then get on with my life.

They made such a mess in the white tanks off of Watson road that they closed that area and everyone e that was shooting there moved one exit further out to Miller rd. It’s such a zoo, I’m honestly amazed nobody has been killed yet. I’ve shot out there 4 or 5 times. After the first time I learned, you get there at sun up and you’ve got about 90 minutes. If you stay any longer you’ll be in the middle of a war zone.
