Thats me too. Cancelled my dish service after about 1/2 the contract and have never missed It for a single minute. I watch Netflix roku and youtube from the internet tv thing and dont need anything else.

Congrats on a beast!

So sorry to hear of your loss. The deer will still be there and they should be in full swing, as others have said.

Hes very far from my biggest, but I think my first is still my best. 78.5 yard archery kill with a 3.5 hour pack out hauling an 80+ lb. load. It was a pretty big chore getting that little deer back to the car.

Congrats! Buck of a lifetime for sure! -
+1 on that. You mind telling us what you're shooting? Ive got a canon digital rebel slr with a 300mm I've been playing with, but im wanting to step up to a larger diameter 500mm lense.

Great pics! And the best part? You can 'shoot' that same deer over & over again.

I think im gonna make it out on sunday. Depends on how much work I can get done in the next couple days. Those coues deer better watch out! -
your garage is 36' long? Lucky!!! Rv garage. 18 x 48. Its so full of machine tools that there isnt much room to shoot though. When we built the house I'd had visions of putting a platform stand up in there to practice treestand shooting, but that hasn't really worked out....

Nice looking rig bud. Looks like a fun project!

$75k truck?! Why you driving a used vehicle, cheapskate. Does it come with an Obama phone?

This thread got me motivated to dig out my old p.o.s. recurve and start playing with it again. After about a week of garage shooting, I can tell you for certain that I dont need any technology at all to kill a deer. The only thing I do need is for a garage door size deer to stand perfectly still broadside at 12 yards or less.

Got mine at the g&f office last week.

I'll drink to that.

I dont know of too many people who use just one camera. When I find one I assume it to be one of many and will not give a spot any type of consideration just because theres a camera there. That $100 they spent only got them a camera, not a five acre plot of forest land. I would never mess with anyone's gear, but im not changing my plans because some guy has one of his ten cameras on a certain tree. Now if I actually bumped into the guy, I'd share honest information wish him luck and move on. He got there first. But no piece of gear is a permanent sign of reserved rights to the area.

Nice! Ive heard theyre pretty stout and can haul a pretty good sized pack for their size.

Thats actually one of the major draw backs of trail cams, they're such an obvious give away. Like putting up a big sign that says 'lots of deer here'. I typically try to take mine down a little before season starts as most people dont scout that early or not at all.

Thats a heck of a year. I hope next year goes just as well for you! Hit it hard and hit it often!

Congrats on a nice buck & good shooting!
